Kyle Chrisley Arrested Again on Domestic Violence and Intoxication Charges
Kyle Chrisley is facing legal trouble after being taken into custody on accusations of domestic violence and public intoxication.
TMZ – the first to break the story on Sunday, December 21 – reported that Chrisley, 34, was processed at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on Saturday, December 20. The publication detailed that he is charged with several offenses, including domestic assault, being drunk in public, disruptive behavior, three counts of assaulting a law enforcement officer and resisting lawful detention. Chrisley is also facing three charges related to retribution for prior incidents, according to the report.

Kyle – the son of Todd and Julie Chrisley – has had multiple encounters with law enforcement throughout the years. (Todd and ex-wife Teresa Terry share Kyle and daughter Lindsie, 36. He is also the father of Savannah, 28, Chase, 29, and Grayson, 19, with Julie. Todd and Julie are also the adoptive parents of Kyle’s daughter, Chloe, 12.)

In March 2023, Kyle was arrested for “felony aggravated assault” and was released after posting a $3,000 bond. Before a court hearing, the prosecution dropped the charges – however, the reason for the case’s dismissal was not disclosed in court documents, TV Insider reported.
The following year, Kyle was arrested again on charges of aggravated assault. He and his wife, Ashleigh, have since filed a lawsuit against Rutherford County and two sheriff’s deputies seeking $1.7 million in damages for the arrest. In a statement to People in August, Kyle’s attorney, Wesley Clark, stated: “Our goal with this lawsuit is to achieve accountability and positive change because no family should experience what the Chrisley family went through in this frightening situation.”
Kyle’s latest arrest occurs several months after Todd and Julie were freed from prison following a pardon granted by President Donald Trump. (Todd and Julie served 28 months in prison after being found guilty in 2022 of tax evasion and bank and wire fraud offenses. They have consistently asserted their innocence.)
“I’m overjoyed. Truly,” Kyle said in a statement to E! News at the time. “I just learned about this a short while ago and I still can’t quite believe it.”
Kyle noted that he is optimistic about rebuilding relationships with his family, after admitting he hadn’t communicated with Todd for over a year.
“I know they are eager to return home and simply be with family, and I will continue to hope that another reconciliation is possible,” he said.
Todd also commended his daughter Savannah, who had been actively advocating for Todd and Julie’s pardon. (Savannah was also Chloe’s legal guardian during Todd and Julie’s incarceration.)
“I know Savannah had been working on this for a long time and she never gave up,” he added. “So I’m just thankful to her and to President Trump for making this happen for my dad and Julie.”

In September, Todd revealed that Kyle visited him “once” while he was in prison.
“I did receive an apology from Kyle,” Todd said during The Chrisleys: Back to Reality series finale at the time. “I was in disbelief. He embraced me and went to the vending machine and purchased me a beverage.”
Todd explained that he and Kyle “sat and talked” during that visit. “He apologized for his role [and] for the things he had done,” he continued. “And he asked, ‘If I could take them back I would but I can’t and I’m asking can we just pick up from here and move forward.’ And that wasn’t something I could do.”
