Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks have announced their engagement!

The 35-year-old star of Isn’t It Romantic and the 29-year-old fashion model, whose romantic connection was first rumored in December 2019, revealed their happy news on Friday, September 12. Brooks shared a collection of endearing Instagram pictures featuring the pair, prominently displaying her exquisite engagement ring.

Among the posts, Brooks shared a monochrome photograph alongside Hemsworth, where she showcased her ring, and a subsequent image offered a detailed view of the dazzling diamond.

While the duo has largely maintained privacy regarding their relationship, they do share occasional glimpses on social media — frequently featuring Hemsworth’s family, whom Brooks referred to as “the most beautiful people” during a December 2021 conversation with Stellar magazine.

“My personal connection is profoundly important and deeply cherished,” she remarked then. “And I believe that in a public-facing industry, there are aspects you simply wish to retain for yourself. I fully comprehend [the curiosity surrounding our relationship]. However, ultimately, I find solace in keeping that private for myself.”

This announcement of their engagement follows a May 2021 report from an insider to Us Weekly stating that their relationship was "growing serious."

“They prefer not to publicize things, but their inner circle of friends and family are certainly aware of their strong bond and the imminent possibility of an engagement,” the source shared with Us back then, further noting, “Liam admires his brothers [Chris Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth] and aspires to achieve a similar enduring marriage with a partner someday. He’s prepared for matrimony — he simply wanted to feel utterly certain about his relationship with Gabriella before proposing!”

The Australian-born actor was previously wed to Miley Cyrus for a period of eight months, spanning from December 2018 to August 2019. This former pair — who had an on-again, off-again romance since first encountering each other during the filming of 2010’s The Last Song — concluded their divorce proceedings in January 2020.

Liam’s current relationship with Brooks presents a distinct contrast to his previous romance with Cyrus, 29, a second insider informed Us in March 2020.

“He experiences a greater sense of ease and belonging with Gabriella compared to Miley, feeling he can truly be himself free from any turmoil,” the source stated then. “Gabriella contributed to enhancing Liam’s self-assurance and provided significant support following his separation from Miley.
