Lil Nas X attended a court session in the Los Angeles region concerning his recent battery charge.

The 26-year-old artist, known by his birth name Montero Lamar Hill, arrived at the courthouse on Monday, November 17, dressed in a brown leather jacket, beige trousers, and cowboy footwear.

Although the judge eventually rescheduled the proceedings for March 2026, Drew Findling, Lil Nas X’s lawyer, offered a concise statement to reporters outside the court.

“Montero is thriving and in excellent spirits, and we couldn't be happier for him,” Findling conveyed to Us Weekly and other media outlets. “We anticipate a favorable outcome in this matter, of which we are highly optimistic.”

Before 6 a.m. on August 21, law enforcement in Los Angeles was dispatched after receiving a report of a “nude individual on the street.”

Although officials initially refrained from identifying Lil Nas X as the individual involved, TMZ subsequently disclosed that the rapper was taken to a nearby medical facility for a suspected overdose prior to his official arrest.

The acclaimed artist was eventually indicted on August 25 with four felony counts, among them battery causing injury to a police officer and obstruction of an executive officer. He has entered a plea of not guilty to every accusation.

“Your girl will be fine, everyone,” he assured his audience on August 26 in his initial public statement about the arrest. “She will recover. She will be okay. Wow. “The term ‘treatment’ was mentioned. We are acting in Montero's best interest, both personally and professionally, but above all, for his overall welfare,” Findling — who formerly represented President Donald Trump during an inquiry into alleged election meddling — conveyed outside the courthouse, captured in a video disseminated on X. “He is supported by a wonderful family and a dedicated team of individuals who deeply care for and cherish him. We are simply addressing these matters. It's truly that straightforward. He has lived a remarkable life, and he will persist in doing so. This is a minor obstacle he will overcome.”
