Lindsay Hubbard Claps Back at Johnny Bananas Over Baby Paternity Rumors
Summer House personality Lindsay Hubbard is addressing recent remarks made by Johnny Bananas regarding the extent of their connection.
“To @JohnnyBananas, it seems you might need a refresher on basic biology; conception requires sexual intercourse, and as far as I recall, we never engaged in such activity,” Hubbard, age 39, posted on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, December 2. “Please find another avenue for public attention. And just so there’s no misunderstanding, my child is far too adorable to be associated with a 'Bananas baby.'”
Bananas, 43 years old, replied to Hubbard’s message, stating, “To @Lindshubbs, offspring of Bananas aren't merely cute; they emerge as legendary figures... rest assured, yours is secure.”
What prompted Hubbard's initial reaction? Her online statement seems to be a direct reply to Bananas’ recent guest spot on a podcast.
The ‘Summer House’ Franchise Expands with a Spinoff: Details on ‘In the City’During a conversation with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn on the November 26 installment of the “Hollywood Raw” podcast, Bananas was questioned about his current relationship with Hubbard following their joint photographic appearance in November 2023.
“We were photographed by paparazzi in the West Village area, and the timing became quite concerning for me when, a few months subsequent, the news emerged: ‘Lindsay Hubbard is expecting,’” Bananas recounted. “My thought was, ‘Confound it. I should have secured one of those prophylactics from the audio technician.’”
The prominent figure from The Challenge further stated, “It’s impossible her child is biologically mine. Can you even picture it? The world would have been aware instantly.”
Hubbard was pictured with Bananas outside an eatery in New York's West Village during what was supposed to be her wedding celebration with Summer House castmate Carl Radke. (Radke unexpectedly ended their engagement in August 2023.)
By July 2024, Hubbard revealed her pregnancy, anticipating her first child alongside Turner Kufe. Despite no longer being a couple, they have established an effective arrangement for coparenting their daughter.
“Turner and I form an excellent partnership. Our approach to coparenting is superb,” Hubbard shared with Us Weekly in June. “He visits each morning [and] every evening post-work, provided Gemma isn’t residing at his place that night.”
Well before Hubbard embraced motherhood — and is slated to appear in a Summer House upcoming series provisionally named In the City — Bananas indicated his prior acquaintance with the Bravo reality personality during her career as a public relations professional.
“My knowledge of Lindsay predates her foray into reality television. I was familiar with Lindsay back when she was engaged in [PR work],” he clarified during his latest podcast segment. “I collaborated with her for many, many years; indeed, this was ages ago. Subsequently, we somewhat drifted apart and pursued our individual paths.”
Upon learning that Hubbard was initiating Summer House in 2017, Bananas expressed no astonishment.
“I was incredibly pleased for her. She consistently brings an enjoyable presence,” he revealed. “Her eventual appearance on reality television came as no surprise to me.”
What Television Series Have Been Greenlit for 2025-2026?With anticipation growing for the tenth season of Summer House, Hubbard had previously informed Us that her Hamptons presence might exude a distinct energy, having embraced motherhood.
“Gemma will be between six and nine months old by this summer, an ideal stage to experience my inaugural summer alongside her,” she conveyed to Us in June. “I fully intend to take her to the Hamptons frequently.”
