Lisa Hochstein Claims Estranged Husband Lenny Isn't Building Her Dream Home

Sources confirm to Us Weekly that The Real Housewives of Miami personality Lisa Hochstein has expressed dissatisfaction with the residence her estranged husband, Lenny Hochstein, is constructing for her and their children as their divorce proceedings continue.

Court documents filed by Lisa, 43, on August 28 allege that Lenny, 59, is in contempt of court, claiming he has not adhered to their divorce judgment. (Contempt of court signifies a failure to obey a judicial directive.) She asserts that her plastic surgeon ex-husband has not fulfilled his obligations from their June 2023 agreement, which settled all contested financial matters, including child support. Lenny vehemently refutes these accusations.

The Bravo star contended that Lenny had violated two provisions. The first mandated him to contribute $17,000 monthly towards Lisa’s rent, with adjustments for any rent increases, until a dwelling was built for her and their offspring.

Lisa stated that Lenny was required to acquire a plot of land on South Shore Drive or a comparable property value near Star Island in Miami. She claimed both of them were to have input in the home's construction. “The house must be built in an architectural design and style similar to” their former shared residence.

The filing indicated that Lenny was responsible for all necessary permits and building. The home was to be placed into a trust for their children, with Lisa granted exclusive occupancy until the youngest child reaches 18 years old.

Lenny was to cover all expenses related to construction, upkeep, property taxes, insurance, and other costs. Should the home not be finished within two years of the settlement, specifically by June 23, 2025, Lenny was obligated to pay an additional $5,000 on top of his existing rental commitment.

Lisa reported that Lenny commenced work on a home that she did not consider equivalent to their previous shared residence. Furthermore, she mentioned that Lenny has declined to pay the increased amount for her rent, which she noted had risen from $32,000 to $33,600 per month.

“[Lenny] has refused to cover the rent increases, despite being financially capable,” she alleged.

Lisa detailed that the home Lenny was supposed to build for her featured six bedrooms, a waterfront location with a view, and a separate guest house. She stated that the home he is currently constructing without her input possesses only two stories “rather than a two-story home with an additional lower level, lacks a guest house, has five bedrooms instead of six, includes a driveway that accommodates approximately one-third of the intended number of cars, features a smaller pool, is not waterfront, and is situated across from a very noisy high school where band practice occurs.”

Lisa indicated she conveyed her grievances to Lenny, but he ignored them. She said he messaged her, “The house will be ready in 2-3 months, at which point I will not pay your rent.”

She asserted that Lenny’s actions represent a “deliberate attempt to deny” her and the children the “advantage of their agreement under the” settlement. She accused him of breaching the deal “to spite” her and “foster instability in her living situation.”

She highlighted that Lenny is a “highly successful plastic surgeon and entrepreneur with a proclaimed net worth of $175,000,000. Lisa expressed that she does “not know where she will reside and what to anticipate, which is precisely what the [settlement] aimed to prevent.”

“Furthermore, having a stable residence is a prerequisite for her profession as a television personality, which is how she earns her income,” Lisa’s attorney added. “Since the divorce was finalized, [Lenny] has engaged in a consistent pattern of non-compliance.”

When reached for comment, Lenny informed Us, “None of this holds true. It is Lisa who has violated the agreement, which is why we have a court hearing scheduled for later this month.”

He tells Us, “I have adhered to every provision of the agreement. The home she references is 5,215 square feet, in comparison, the home I am building is 5,074 square feet with an additional 480 square foot attached garage, so if you factor that in, the house I am constructing is larger in size.”

Lenny mentioned the home will be valued between $7 million and $9 million. “The fact that Lisa considers this to be ‘insufficient’ for her should reveal everything you need to understand about her character,” he added.

Lenny clarified that he has covered Lisa’s rent since the divorce while the home was under construction, which he believes will be completed next month.

He told Us that Lisa’s boyfriend, Jody Glidden, “sold his residence and moved in with Lisa, so for the past two years, I have been paying his rent as well.”

“Lisa continues to accuse me of untruths,” he stated.

Lenny concluded, “It is my intention to continue paying rent so Lisa and Jody can live comfortably until the nearly $10 million home is finished, at which point Lisa will be able to live in opulence with Jody.”

In response, Lisa’s lawyer Parastoo Majd tells Us: “Lenny’s self-serving declarations are merely diversions designed to deflect from one simple reality: he is not adhering to the Marital Settlement Agreement. He has failed to uphold his part of the deal, depriving Lisa of her deserved benefit and compelling her to expend time and resources in court to enforce what he previously consented to.”

“To be clear, this is not about the house being ‘not enough.’ This is about honoring a contract. The Marital Settlement Agreement mandated a home built to specific architectural criteria and approved plans,” Majd added. “Perhaps the most telling aspect is that, despite his self-proclaimed net worth of ‘175 million dollars,’ Lenny has ceased paying rent for the home where his two children reside, despite his contractual duty to do so, forcing Lisa to file yet another motion and return to court.”

Majd concluded, “It is evident that Lenny despises nothing more than a woman who refuses to be controlled. Lisa is advocating for equity, accountability, her children’s future, and the rule of law against an individual who believes regulations simply do not apply to him.”

Lisa and Lenny exchanged vows in 2009 and separated in May 2022. When their divorce was finalized in November 2024, Lenny was also instructed to pay Lisa $15,000 monthly in child support. They share two minor children: a son named Logan, 10, and a daughter named Elle Marie, 7.

Lisa requested the court intervene and compel her ex to comply with the settlement.
