Love Is Blind's Lydia and Milton Are Still Battling Over Assets in Divorce Mediation
Love Is Blind personalities Lydia Velez Gonzalez and Milton Johnson have not yet finalized the details of their divorce.
A source reveals exclusively to Us Weekly that the reality TV figures are still engaged in divorce mediation, negotiating over a combination of assets and financial matters.
“The process has taken many months because Milton prioritized work and school, causing delays on his end,” the insider adds. “However, they are close to reaching a final resolution.”
Lydia and Milton met during season 5 of Love Is Blind, which aired in 2023.
Love Is Blind's Lydia Claims Ex Milton Was 'Pursuing' Other Women Pre-Split
While the duo initially bonded over their shared interest in rocks and geology — Lydia's background as a geologist and Milton's role as an engineer in the oil and energy industry — their relationship deteriorated following the separation.
“They do not communicate,” the source shared with Us. “All correspondence passes through their attorneys. Once the divorce concludes, they anticipate having no further contact.”
Regarding dating, the source indicated that neither individual is currently interested in pursuing new relationships. Both “are focused on finalizing the divorce, personal recovery, and achieving closure.”
Us has contacted both Lydia and Milton’s legal representation for comment.
In June, Lydia disclosed on the “What’s the Reality?” podcast that she chose to file for divorce from Milton just before what would have been their third wedding anniversary.
At that time, she informed Love Is Blind alum and podcast host AD Smith that communication between them was absent and described their relationship as “nonexistent.”
“It has remained that way since March 31, because when I requested the divorce, he demanded an NDA,” Lydia alleged. “Following that, he told me … [that I was] stupid and untrustworthy. … I doubt he cares about me, because he has ignored me for the past month. If you truly love a person, you wouldn’t act this way [and] you would actually accept accountability.” (Us reached out to Milton for comment at that time.)
In September, Milton responded to Lydia’s divorce filing by submitting his own counterclaim.
'Love Is Blind’ Couples Status Check: Who Is Still Together?
According to court documents obtained by Us, Milton claimed Lydia was “guilty of cruel treatment” toward him of a “nature that renders further living together insupportable.”
“The marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities between [Milton] and [Lydia] that destroys the legitimate end of the marriage relationship,” his lawyer claimed, “and prevents any reasonable expectation of reconciliation.”
Soon after, Lydia submitted an amended petition for divorce. In court documents, Lydia alleged that Milton had committed “adultery.” She also claimed Milton was also guilty of “cruel treatment,” which made living together impossible.
Celebrity Splits of 2025: Amy Schumer, Chris Fischer and More Breakups
Lydia and Milton are not the only Love Is Blind cast members to experience a separation in 2025.
Earlier this year, season 7 star Ashley Adionser separated from husband Tyler Francis after one year of marriage. Season 3 couple Alexa and Brennon Lemieux announced earlier in the month that they were splitting after four years of marriage.
Season 9, which premiered on Netflix in October, also did not produce any couples strong enough to marry.
