Amaya “Papaya” Espinal is sharing details about a profound personal tragedy that occurred prior to her participation in Love Island USA.

The reality personality stated that an former partner (whose identity she opted to withhold) passed away suddenly in 2024. This loss compelled Amaya to discover significance amidst even the most distressing experiences.
“Ultimately, it shaped me into the individual I am today,” she clarified in Popsugar’s inaugural “Feel Good” publication. “I no longer wish to pretend it never occurred.”
