The 31-year-old actress, known for her role in Riverdale, skillfully avoided confirming her relationship status — single or coupled — when she guested on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast on Wednesday, September 17, elaborating on her decision to remain tight-lipped.
“I’ve reached a point in my life where I’ve spent a decade in the public eye, and for a long time, I struggled to manage the line between my personal and public spheres effectively. The truth is, even though I’m on a program where discussing my relationships is expected, I’m simply not going to,” Petsch stated, accompanied by a slight shoulder movement.
Host Alex Cooper replied, “I truly admire you for that stance. It’s as if you’ve realized, ‘I need to keep this private to genuinely assess if we’re compatible, and perhaps eventually …’ So, to be clear, we’re still unaware of your relationship status.”

Despite Petsch’s refusal to disclose her current romantic situation, she did share her ideal qualities in a partner.
“Reliability,” she stated. “I believe that’s a crucial lesson I’ve learned. Steadiness in a companion. Compassion. Affection. Honestly, I don’t think fostering a healthy relationship is overly complicated. Open dialogue. Backing for my professional endeavors.”
Petsch further mentioned that her acting profession, particularly the requirement for intimate scenes with fellow actors, often presents the “most challenging aspect.”
“Faith is truly vital,” she proceeded. “I am someone who is very dependable, yet placing trust in an actor can be difficult, a fact I comprehend. Simply, empathy and dialogue are key.”
Petsch’s discussion on the podcast occurred half a year after she was first linked romantically with musician Tyga. They were seen together at an L.A. Lakers game on February 19, and then at the Vanity Fair and Instagram Celebrate Vanities: A Night for Young Hollywood event at Bar Marmont just seven days subsequent.
Following these public appearances, which ignited speculation among fans that Petsch and Tyga, 35, were a couple, an insider confirmed exclusively to Us Weekly on March 5 that they were “unquestionably” together and had been “seeing each other for roughly four months,” having connected prior to Tyga’s birthday in November 2024.
Petsch appeared to validate their relationship by sharing images with Tyga on Instagram that April. One picture captured her leaning her head on his shoulder as he focused on his phone at Coachella, while a second depicted them from behind, sharing a side embrace.
