Madi Prewett Reveals Purity Agreement with Husband Grant Troutt
From the outset of their romance, Madi Prewett, known from Bachelor Nation, and her spouse Grant Troutt approached their connection with deliberate purpose.
“There was a strong mutual attraction between Grant and me, which proved to be a significant challenge we had to overcome,” the 29-year-old Prewett revealed during the September 22 installment of her “Stay True” podcast. “I recall us actually drafting a purity agreement, which I then handed to my friend, Jeanine [Amapola], instructing her, ‘You must keep me accountable.’”
Prewett, who also turns 29, began her relationship with Troutt in 2021, a period when both individuals felt inclinations towards physical intimacy. (As a committed Christian, Prewett had resolved to postpone sexual relations until after marriage.)

It provides clearer insight into our prospective journey together. During our dating phase, when we succumbed to sexual transgression and allure, the outcome was not harmony, but rather separation.”
Prewett stated that engaging in any “sexual sin” prompted both her and Troutt to doubt the possibility of building an enduring, devout relationship.
“It sparked the question, ‘Now I’m unsure if you can truly guide me,’” she remarked. “I found myself wondering, is this sustainable for us? I’ve heard the notion that if one isn’t striving for purity before marriage, there's no guarantee they will do so within marriage. Consequently, it is vital to establish this discipline during singleness and dating, and to persistently maintain it within marriage, as the struggle does not simply vanish.”

“Upon entering marriage, I believe I unfairly anticipated him to intuitively grasp all my requirements and wishes,” Prewett disclosed exclusively to Us Weekly in July 2023. “As a result, I eventually realized I needed to communicate, ‘When I return home after a three or four-day journey, I would cherish spending the entire evening solely with you. I desire for us to share a meal. I want us to engage in meaningful conversations and simply revel in the evening.’ And I genuinely had to acquire the skill of expressing this, as it wasn't something he could instinctively comprehend. We've grasped the significance of open dialogue through a process of experimentation and adjustments. … I believe extending compassion and forbearance to one another is incredibly crucial.”
