Maggie Baugh's Father Denies Daughter Is Cause of Keith Urban Nicole Kidman Split Amid TikTok Rumors
The father of country artist Maggie Baugh is addressing popular TikTok speculation following her touring partner Keith Urban's separation from his spouse, Nicole Kidman.
TMZ reports that Chuck Baugh, Maggie's dad, posted a TikTok suggesting his daughter might be “allegedly the cause of Keith’s divorce from Nicole Kidman.”
“NO. Just No,” Chuck stated on Facebook on Wednesday, October 1.
A number of recent live stage moments involving Baugh and Urban have re-emerged in the last seven days. In September, Baugh posted a video of Urban, aged 57, altering the words of his track “The Fighter” to include her name.
Signs Indicating Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Impending Separation
During a live show, Urban modified the song's initial words from “when they’re trying to get to you, baby, I’ll be the fighter” to “when they’re trying to get to you, Maggie, I’ll be your guitar player.”
“Did he just say that,” Baugh commented in her Instagram post.
Supporters subsequently found another concert instance from April when Urban aimed a love-themed lyric from “The Fighter” at Baugh during a show in Las Vegas.
“I was born to love you,” Urban vocalized while appearing to gesture towards Baugh from across the performance area.
He subsequently added, “Maggie, I’ll be your fighter.”
The re-emerged video showed Urban presenting Baugh to his audience during a pause in his set, followed by the pair exchanging an embrace.
Baugh disclosed to Pittsburgh Music Magazine in April that Urban initially requested her to collaborate with him for the 2024 CMT Music Awards and was so impressed he swiftly extended an invitation for her to tour with his band too.
“Collaborating with [Urban] felt like attending a rock star academy. He is a walking musical dictionary,” she informed the magazine.
Just hours prior to the announcement of Kidman and Urban’s separation, Baugh posted candid behind-the-scenes video captured after a large concert with the renowned country musician.
“No one at this airport realizes I performed for 21,000 individuals in a stadium yesterday alongside Keith Urban. … Someone pinch me.. this felt like a fantasy,” she posted on Facebook on September 30.
Baugh, 25 years old, is an emerging talent in the country music scene, having launched her first solo record, Dear Me, in October 2023. Her sophomore studio album is expected later this year, along with her premiering Entertainers Heart World Tour scheduled to commence in October.
The artist shared with The Hamilton County Reporter that despite her classical training as a violinist from an early age, she never anticipated her career would achieve such rapid and dramatic success.
“I began traveling to Nashville [Tennessee] at 13 and started composing songs around the same period,” Baugh mentioned in September. “My debut album was released when I was 13. I'm actually a native of South Florida, where it's festival season year-round, so I performed extensively there. I started playing at larger venues, spanning the entire state and reaching into Virginia. Then, at 18, I relocated to Nashville and started touring frequently. Last year, I was on the road with Keith Urban, and it's truly been an incredibly eventful journey.”

Us Weekly verified that Kidman initiated divorce proceedings against Urban on Tuesday, September 30, following 19 years of marriage, stating “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution. The estranged pair consented that Kidman, 58, would be designated the “primary residential parent” for their two adolescent daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14, and also established an interim custody arrangement for the girls to spend 306 days annually with Kidman and 59 with Urban.
“Should the parties be unable to reach a consensus on a significant decision concerning either minor child, [Nicole] will possess ultimate decision-making power,” the document stated.
An insider later disclosed exclusively to Us that Kidman and Urban had been “privately apart for some time” as they attempted to determine if their union could be saved.
“This was not a choice made by Nicole, and she is heartbroken,” the source clarified to Us. “Her faith was broken, and the situation was beyond repair. Nicole had been attempting to mend their marriage and wished for this not to become public knowledge. She kept the true state of their relationship from many friends and suppressed it for months.”
Us has contacted Kidman, Urban, and Baugh for a statement.
