Mahomes' Lavish Holiday Gifts Leave Chiefs Teammates Stunned
Patrick Mahomes generously gifted his Kansas City Chiefs teammates with lavish presents, exceeding expectations for his annual holiday tradition.
“The holiday season arrived early for the offensive line! A big thank you to QB1 for the gifts 🎄,” a post on the team’s official Instagram account stated on Friday, December 19, accompanied by a picture of the expensive items.
Mahomes, age 30, provided each member of the Chiefs offensive line with an Aventon electric bicycle (priced between $1,799 and $1,999), a set of Beats Studio Pro headphones ($349), a Hublot timepiece (valued from $12,000 to $25,000), a durable Rimowa suitcase ($1,500), stylish white sunglasses and a Full Swing golf simulator system (beginning at $11,000).
“Oh my goodness,” exclaimed a group of the NFL players in the social media video capturing the gift reveal. “Wow!”
Patrick Mahomes and Other Athletes’ Most Extravagant Holiday Presents
Chukwuebuka Godrick expressed his gratitude, saying, “I appreciate it, Pat!”
The Chiefs’ starting quarterback consistently spares no expense during the holiday season, having previously presented YETI coolers, Rolex watches, or even customized golf carts with the players’ jersey numbers in previous Decembers.
“I secured a gift for the O-Line, which they received today. I got them some golf equipment, high-end luggage for travel, and a few other useful items,” Mahomes shared during a December 2022 appearance on Audacy’s The Drive radio program. “I aimed to find something for everyone. The entire O-Line mentioned wanting to golf, so I arranged for custom-fitted golf clubs for them, hoping they can improve their skills and join me for a few rounds.”
The following year, Mahomes increased the generosity with fully equipped golf carts.
“I obtained a golf cart, a Club Car model, for my personal use, and I really liked it. As I considered gift options, I wanted to deviate from my past choices,” he explained during a Chiefs press conference in December 2023. “I thought I’d get them something I truly enjoy. … They were pleased with it and were driving around Arrowhead [Stadium in them].”
Mahomes continued, “They contribute so much for me, so I want to show my appreciation in return.”
Patrick Mahomes Injury: Chiefs Anticipate ‘Relatively Fast Recovery’ Following Surgery
Mahomes’ teammate Travis Kelce later shared that the entire O-Line were “speeding around” in the parking lot with their new carts.
“I was attempting to leave the parking lot, and everyone was driving very quickly,” the tight end, age 36, recalled on his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast. “These carts are legally permitted on roads, so they were traveling around 35 miles per hour.”
Mahomes’ current NFL season, however, came to an unexpected end after the December 14 game when he suffered an ACL tear.
“I’m unsure why this happened. And I won’t pretend it doesn’t bother me. But all we can do now is have faith and work hard every day. Thank you, Chiefs Kingdom, for your constant support and for all the messages and prayers. I will return even stronger,” Mahomes posted on Twitter after the Chiefs lost to the Los Angeles Chargers and were eliminated from playoff contention. “I will be back stronger than ever.”
Mahomes had surgery the subsequent week.
“He will dedicate himself to recovery, just as he approaches everything else,” coach Andy Reid stated in a Monday, December 15, press conference, confirming the surgery was successful. “Many excellent quarterbacks have experienced the same injury and have recovered well. He will work diligently, and he has a strong support system here to help him rehabilitate. He will be fully committed to the process.”
