Matthew Koma is honoring his wife, Hilary Duff, not just today but continuously.

“Wishing a happy birthday to both my childhood idol, Janeane Garofalo, and my dearest companion on Earth, @hilaryduff …” Koma, aged 38, shared on Instagram on Sunday, September 28. “What I cherish most about this occasion is how it allows those closest to you to express their admiration and reveal the profound impact you have on us. You possess the remarkable ability to make everyone — your friends, your children, your relatives — feel uniquely important.”

He added, “It baffles me how you manage to be so physically and mentally engaged, generously give of yourself, yet still find moments for mahjong…but we are truly fortunate to be beneficiaries of your affection (and your impeccable scheduling). You embody all that is positive and luminous on this planet…and to begin each day with you, tackling our challenges side by side, feels like repeatedly hitting the jackpot. Navigating everyday existence with you is where I find joy, making all other concerns feel both incredibly attainable and utterly trivial simultaneously.”

Koma proceeded to express immense enthusiasm for Duff's musical comeback, an announcement she made earlier in the month, alongside plans for a docuseries offering her admirers an intimate look into her world.

Accompanying the birthday tribute, Koma posted a collection of pictures depicting shared moments with Duff, also 38, one of which captured the pair in a kiss.

Koma and Duff exchanged vows in 2019. Together, they have daughters Banks, 6, Mae, 4, and Townes, 16 months, and Duff is additionally a mother to Luca, 13, from her previous marriage with Mike Comrie.

A year after the couple introduced Townes into their household, Duff raved that Koma is “unparalleled.”

“I have friends visiting from Toronto whom I haven't seen in a year, and we wanted to exercise,” Duff shared exclusively with Us Weekly in May. “So I proposed, 'Let's do a 7 a.m. workout. Can you handle the children?' And he responded, 'Consider it done. I'll take care of them.' He prepared their meals, cooked breakfast, dressed everyone, and took them to school. He's fully invested.”

She added, “He is incredibly involved, and beyond that, he's also my closest confidant. We lie in bed and simply share our day's happenings with each other, purely for enjoyment. We are truly immersed in the demands of our lives at present.”
