Meghan Markle's longtime friend Kelly McKee Zajfen reveals the Duchess's unwavering support and nurturing nature.

Kelly McKee Zajfen expresses deep appreciation for her more than 15-year friendship with Meghan Markle.

"I've actually known her for almost two decades," Zajfen, 45, revealed in an Instagram Story Q&A with her followers on Sunday, September 28. "She even attended my wedding (which was 15 years ago!), and has consistently been an incredibly supportive, caring, joyful, and affectionate individual."

Zajfen recounted how Meghan, 44, has offered steadfast support for many years, particularly following the tragic passing of her son, George. (George passed away in 2022 at the age of 9 due to complications from COVID-19 and viral meningitis.)

"She has been a constant presence, particularly since Georgie's death, and I hold our bond in high regard," expressed Kelly, who is also a mother to daughter Lily with her husband Julian Zajfen.

In the wake of George's death, Meghan has consistently supported the Alliance of Moms cofounder through various gestures, such as contributing to a GoFundMe established in George's memory and making an unannounced appearance at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles 2024 Gala.

"My profound thanks go to Children's Hospital Los Angeles for the exceptional medical attention they provide (and continue to provide) to our daughter, Lily," Kelly posted on Instagram in October 2024, accompanying a photo of herself and Meghan from the gala. "Our experience commenced when she was merely two and a half, and since that time, we've encountered only compassion, optimism, meticulous attention, and unparalleled skill. Our Children's team has bolstered our resolve and optimism during our most trying periods, and their ongoing dedication to Lily's well-being has been pivotal for our family."

Kelly conveyed that she felt "immensely thankful" to have "one of her dearest companions" accompany her to the function.

"Meg, your dedication to backing Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the wider community is genuinely commendable," she stated. "I am so appreciative to have you supporting me."

Kelly additionally appeared in an installment of the inaugural season of Netflix's With Love, Meghan, alongside Meghan's erstwhile costar Abigail Spencer.

I feel so privileged to have participated in With Love, Meghan and even more honored to see my dearest friend radiate so brilliantly," Kelly expressed in an Instagram update in March. "Meghan, you are truly enchanting and overflow with affection in all your endeavors — whether entertaining, caring for others, or generating happiness. It all emanates from you with such ease and grace, not just on television but in your daily life."

Following her commendation of her closest friend, Kelly mentioned that her involvement in With Love, Meghan stood out as "among the most unforgettable and delightful experiences" she has encountered.

"The entire day was utterly fantastic and incredibly enjoyable!" she declared. "The crew, the execution, the atmosphere, the warmth — you are genuinely the most superb host. Everyone felt it. Thank you for letting me be part of your wonderful creation."

With Love, Meghan, which debuted on Netflix in March, features Meghan extending invitations to friends and other notable personalities at her Montecito residence to impart advice on cooking, gardening, and entertaining. The second season of the program was broadcast in August.
