Melania Trump Accused of Thwarting Michael Wolff's Epstein Investigation and Book Release
Noted author Michael Wolff alleges that Melania Trump, the former first lady, attempted to suppress the release of his forthcoming exposé on her life, simultaneously impeding his “valid investigation” into her associations with Jeffrey Epstein.
Wolff, at 72, a prolific biographer of President Donald Trump with four titles to his name, claims Melania, 55, “intentionally and maliciously” disrupted his publishing agreement for The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump (Redux) and issued damaging public remarks, according to legal filings secured by TMZ.
Per the Daily Beast, this marks an unprecedented occasion where a reigning first lady has faced legal proceedings.
The alleged meddling purportedly involved “deterring” international distribution partners by leveling accusations of fabricated interviews, source intimidation, and the creation of “false narratives for financial gain.”

Wolff asserts he possesses documentation indicating the first lady personally directed a public relations firm to inform media organizations of impending legal action should they report on the book.
According to files procured by The Wrap, Wolff contends that Melania dispatched a cautionary letter, insisting on an apology for the “untrue, libelous, denigrating, deceptive, and provocative assertions” regarding her purported link to the Epstein affair. She allegedly vowed to pursue a lawsuit seeking $1 billion in compensation.
Notably, among the “exceedingly sensational” declarations contested by Melania is Wolff’s claim that the first lady's initial intimate encounter with the present president occurred aboard Epstein’s private aircraft.
Wolff’s legal counsel countered, stating the journalist was simply posing “crucial questions meriting investigation” and was contemplating authoring a book specifically on Epstein.

Wolff’s formal complaint asserts that “Mrs. Trump, alongside her ‘unitary executive’ spouse and their loyal MAGA adherents, have habitually employed threats of expensive SLAPP lawsuits against those who voice dissent, aiming to stifle free expression, generally intimidate critics, and coerce unwarranted payments and apologies akin to those seen in North Korea.”
“These impending legal actions are intended to foster an atmosphere of apprehension nationwide, preventing individuals from freely or confidently exercising their First Amendment liberties,” the document further elaborated. “The intimidation also seeks to halt valid investigations into the Epstein affair, which the Trumps and their associates have consistently endeavored to obstruct and suppress.”
Wolff is petitioning the court to issue a directive for Melania to cease her threats and to mandate punitive damages. He is also seeking judicial permission to depose both Melania and her husband regarding their connections to Epstein.

“In my career as a journalist, I’ve never had the distinct opportunity to pose questions to an individual whose responses are provided under oath and recorded by a court reporter,” he conveyed to the Daily Beast in a piece released on Wednesday, October 22. “I eagerly anticipate questioning Melania and Donald Trump concerning the central issues of this case, including their dealings with Jeffrey Epstein.”
Wolff’s strained relationship with the Trump family spans several years, notably with Donald publicly disparaging him as a “Third Rate Reporter, who is ridiculed even by the purveyors of Fake News” in a Truth Social post from June.
