Miranda Kerr on Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Separation We are a large harmonious family
Miranda Kerr has finally commented on the separation of her former husband, Orlando Bloom, and Katy Perry.
Kerr, a model and co-parent to Bloom's 14-year-old son Flynn, addressed the topic during her appearance on KIIS FM’s “Kyle & Jackie O Show” broadcast on Wednesday, September 3.
“We operate as a large, harmonious family unit,” the 42-year-old Kerr shared with the media outlet. “Katy is wonderful, I adore her. And Orlando, of course.”
Us Weekly first reported in June that Bloom, 48, and Perry, 40, had ended their engagement after ten years. Since their separation, the former couple has been cooperatively raising their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove.

“I recently spent time with both of them this past weekend. We were marking Daisy's birthday,” Kerr stated on Wednesday.
The creator of KORA Organics wed The Lord of the Rings actor in 2010 following a three-year courtship. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2013. Kerr later married Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel in 2017 and they have since had three sons: Hart, 7, Myles, 6, and Pierre, 1.
Kerr had previously discussed her amicable relationship with Bloom after their divorce in a 2023 conversation with Access Hollywood.
“We appreciate spending time together,” Kerr remarked back then. “It's wonderful.”

She recalled that upon their split, she and Bloom agreed, “‘Ultimately, Flynn’s well-being is paramount, not our own.’ Therefore, every decision we make is evaluated based on whether it serves Flynn's best interests. This approach has guided us.”
Kerr expressed high regard for Perry during an interview on the “Something To Talk About” podcast a couple of years prior.
“I genuinely express my gratitude for Katy on a daily basis,” Kerr stated at the time. “I consider myself incredibly fortunate to share such a bond with her. She truly feels like a sibling to me, and our connection was instant.”
During a 2023 conversation with Vogue, Perry described their arrangement as a “blended family, a contemporary family. We aim to dismantle the outdated notion that ex-wives and new wives cannot coexist harmoniously. That perception is false. We are resilient, capable women who support and rely on one another.”

Bloom and the artist behind “Fireworks” began their relationship in 2016, with their engagement following in 2019.
Representatives for the former couple have emphasized the absence of any conflict between them.
“Orlando and Katy have transitioned their relationship in recent months to prioritize their coparenting responsibilities,” a July announcement provided to Us stated. “They plan to continue appearing together as a family unit, as their primary focus remains — and will consistently be — nurturing their daughter with affection, consistency, and reciprocal regard.”
