UPDATE: 11/19/2025 at 10:15 a.m. ET — Elon Musk has responded to Billie Eilish after the singer labeled the prospective trillionaire a “pathetic p bitch coward.”

“She’s not the sharpest tool in the shed,” Musk, 54, posted on X on Monday, November 17, in response to a summary of Eilish’s recent Instagram Stories concerning how the Tesla founder might utilize his funds to benefit global populations.

The original report continues below:

Initially, Billie Eilish criticized billionaires. Now, her focus has shifted to the man who stands to become the world’s first trillionaire.

Eilish, 23, used her Instagram Stories on Thursday, November 13, to publicly denounce Elon Musk as a “fing pathetic p bitch coward.” This public statement followed her re-sharing of an Instagram carousel initially published by My Voice, My Choice, which commenced with an image of Musk and text stating, “Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire, here’s what he could do with it.”

The subsequent slides proposed various ways Musk could assist communities globally, including claims that he could “end world hunger,” “save endangered species,” and “rebuild Gaza.”

“Musk could opt to allocate $40 billion annually to eradicate world hunger by 2030 or provide universal access to safe, clean water with $140 billion for the planet over the next seven years,” one slide detailed.

The second slide further asserted, “To rescue all 10,443 Critically Endangered species, Musk could contribute $1-2 billion annually to reduce their classification to merely Endangered status.”

The final slide conveyed, “For just $53.2 billion, Musk possesses the capacity to reconstruct Gaza and the occupied West Bank, according to the EU. However, the UN estimates this figure could be upward of $70 billion for Gaza alone. If he wished to broaden his wealth distribution and aid, he could also undertake the rebuilding of Ukraine and Syria for an estimated $793.2 billion.”

Eilish implied Musk could achieve even more by adding, “Etc …”

Us Weekly sought comment from a representative for Musk.

The singer’s remarks came after 75 percent of Tesla shareholders voted to endorse a compensation package exceeding $1 trillion for Musk. The SpaceX founder will need to meet several business objectives over the forthcoming decade to attain trillionaire status, including increasing Tesla’s market cap to $8.5 trillion by 2035, selling 12 million vehicles annually, and deploying 1 million robotaxis and 1 million humanoid robots, as reported by Business Insider. He must also remain Tesla CEO for seven and a half years to acquire shares from this new remuneration plan.

This is not the first instance of Eilish publicly criticizing affluent individuals. During the Wall Street Journal’s 2025 Innovator Awards held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City on October 29, the Grammy-winning artist urged billionaires to donate their fortunes to those in need.
“We are currently in a period where the world is profoundly challenging and bleak, and people require empathy and assistance more extensively than, perhaps, ever, particularly within our nation,” she stated. “I would propose that if you possess wealth, it would be excellent to utilize it for beneficial endeavors, and possibly distribute it to individuals who require it.”

Eilish continued, “I appreciate you all, yet there are some individuals present who hold considerably more money than I do. If you are a billionaire, what is the justification for your billionaire status? No offense intended, but indeed. Disperse your wealth, everyone!”

Among the attendees at the event was Facebook cofounder Mark Zuckerberg, who is globally the fifth richest person with a net worth of $230 billion, according to Forbes. While many people applauded Eilish’s comments, an eyewitness informed People that Zuckerberg, 41, did not.
