According to NBC News, Nick, 32, attended a festive event hosted by Conan O’Brien on Saturday, December 13, alongside his father Rob Reiner and mother Michele Singer Reiner.
During the course of the evening, Nick reportedly interrupted a private discussion involving comedian Bill Hader. When Hader, 47, indicated the conversation was private, NBC News claims Nick appeared to freeze and stare before making a sudden exit.

TMZ stated that Rob and Nick engaged in an audible dispute during the gathering, which was witnessed by other attendees. Both Rob and Michele then departed the occasion shortly after.
The couple was discovered deceased at their Brentwood, California, residence on Sunday, December 14.
“We announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner with profound sorrow,” a family representative told Variety on Sunday. “Our hearts are broken by this sudden tragedy, and we request privacy during this incredibly difficult period.”
The Los Angeles Police Department subsequently verified that the couple exhibited “apparent stab wounds.”
Nick was allegedly absent from his parents' Brentwood residence when their remains were found. Authorities instead located Nick in an area close to the University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles.
According to ABC News, law enforcement detained Nick on murder charges late Sunday, roughly six hours after the discovery of his parents' deaths.
During a press conference on Tuesday, December 16, Los Angeles district attorney Nathan Hochman announced that Nick faces two counts of first-degree murder. A conviction could result in a sentence of life imprisonment without parole or capital punishment.

“They held great love for their children and consistently strove to be truly excellent parents,” Shriver, 70, added. “My affection goes out to their family. I feel immense sadness for them. I am devastated, heartbroken, shocked, stunned, and profoundly saddened, as are all those who cherished them and were cherished by them.”
