Nicki Minaj Deactivates Instagram Amidst Turning Point USA Appearance and Political Commentary

Nicki Minaj seems to be reducing her presence on social media platforms shortly after a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest.

Fans noticed on Wednesday, December 24, that the “Super Bass” rapper had seemingly deactivated her Instagram account.

Those visiting her account now see a message stating, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”

However, some fans pointed out that Minaj, 43, has previously removed her account from time to time throughout the years, including in October. Her X account still appears to be active, with one of her most recent posts being a collage of pictures from her appearance with Erika Kirk (née Frantzve) at AmericaFest.

Minaj made a surprise appearance on Sunday, December 21, at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest alongside the new CEO.

Both Minaj and Kirk, 37, entered Phoenix’s Convention Center hand in hand before discussing a range of topics, including how young adults can become involved and engaged in politics early in life.

At one point, Minaj offered praise for President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance as positive examples for young men.

“You have admirable role models like JD Vance, our vice president,” she said.

Almost immediately after saying these words, Minaj covered her mouth with her hand, seemingly indicating she might have been embarrassed.

Kirk, meanwhile, reassured Minaj that she was not offended by the comment.

“Trust me, there’s nothing new under the sun that I haven’t heard,” Kirk said while laughing. “So, you’re fine. I love you and you have to laugh about it — truly. I have been called every single thing, and you know what? God is so good, you let it roll right off your back.”

Erika was appointed CEO of Turning Point in September, shortly after her husband, the organization’s former chairman, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated at the age of 31.

Vance, 41, seemed unaffected by Minaj’s remarks at Turning Point USA’s event. Following her appearance, the vice president publicly commended the artist’s words onstage.

“Nicki Minaj said something at Amfest that was really profound,” Vance wrote via X on Monday, December 22. “I’m paraphrasing, but she said, ‘Just because I want little Black girls to think they’re beautiful doesn’t mean I need to disparage little girls with blonde hair and blue eyes.’”

He continued, “We all got caught up over the last few years in zero-sum thinking. This was because the people who think they rule the world pit us against one another. @NICKIMINAJ rejects that. We all should.”

As Erika prepares for her first Christmas without her husband, the mother of two appears to be concentrating on the encouragement she has received from supporters.

While celebrating Thanksgiving, Erika expressed gratitude for those who have shown love to her family during a period of transition.

“It’s easy to focus on what’s been lost, on what’s missing. But my goodness does the Lord meet me in my weakness, and His strength gently shifts my eyes to what I still have on this side of heaven. What remains is sacred,” she wrote via Instagram on November 27. “I can’t express what the outpouring of love has meant to me and the babies.
