Nicki Minaj Sparks Debate with Surprise Appearance and Trump Endorsement at Turning Point USA Event

Nicki Minaj unexpectedly showed up at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest event, arriving alongside the organization’s new CEO Erika Kirk (who was formerly known as Erika Frantzve).

The 43-year-old rapper entered Phoenix’s Convention Center on Sunday, December 21, with Kirk, 37, as her hit song “Super Bass” played over the speakers, as seen in videos shared on social media. Upon reaching the stage, Kirk gave Minaj a kiss on the cheek as they both greeted the large crowd.

Minaj then made a heart shape with her hands, gesturing to the audience, before engaging in a conversation with Kirk, during which she lauded president Donald Trump and vice president JD Vance as positive examples for young men.

“You have exceptional role models such as the skilled politician, JD Vance, our vice president,” she remarked.

Charlie Kirk appeared in a new Kanye West documentary prior to his passing.

Minaj began to elaborate on her statement, but quickly paused and covered her mouth, appearing visibly uncomfortable. Kirk, however, assured Minaj that she didn’t take offense to the phrasing.

“Believe me, there’s little that is truly original that I haven’t encountered,” Kirk responded with a chuckle. “So, you’re perfectly fine. I appreciate you, and you need to find humor in it – honestly. I’ve been labeled with everything imaginable, and you know what? I’m grateful, and I simply let negativity pass me by.”

Erika was appointed CEO of Turning Point in September, shortly after the death of her husband, the organization’s previous chairman Charlie Kirk, at the age of 31. Charlie is remembered by Erika and their two young children.

Nicki Minaj recently stated that she’s ‘never used cocaine in my life’.

“My daughter frequently asks [about him], but it’s touching because I consistently explain a few things to her,” Erika shared on Fox News last month. “I told her, ‘If you ever want to communicate with Daddy, just look up at the sky and start talking to him – he can hear you.’ I explained, ‘Daddy is in heaven.’ She responded, ‘Do you think I could visit him sometime?’ I said, ‘Sweetheart, we will all go one day.’”

Earlier during the event on Sunday, Minaj asserted that Christians were being “suppressed,” promising that such times were over.

“We will not be silenced again, we will advocate for Christians everywhere in the world,” Minaj declared, expressing her support for the Trump administration. “I have great respect and admiration for our president.”

According to Minaj, Trump, 79, has “inspired so many people with the belief that it’s possible to overcome adversity and succeed.”

“He’s from Queens, New York, just like me, but what he’s demonstrated to me, personally, is that – even during the most challenging times in your life, when you feel like you’ll never recover,” she explained. “But, you do, and our president exemplifies that. He’s experienced everything a public figure can endure and has been consistently misrepresented. It’s not particularly amusing until you’ve lived through it yourself.”

Minaj strongly emphasized that Trump’s administration is “composed of individuals with integrity and compassion.”

“They make me feel proud,” she said, also referencing Vance, 41. “I admire both of them. They are both influential men, intelligent, resilient [and] all of that, but they possess a remarkable ability to connect with people. I connect with them. When I listen to them speak, I recognize that they are like us.”
