Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Love Story A Decade in the Making Ends in Divorce
Both Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban hail from Australia, yet their paths converged, and their romance blossomed, far from their home country.
Their initial encounter occurred in 2005 at the G’Day USA Gala, a prestigious gathering celebrating Australian talent in Los Angeles. While Kidman found herself instantly captivated by the country music star, Urban's affections were not as readily apparent.
In 2017, Kidman confided to Ellen DeGeneres, stating, “I recall having a significant crush on him, and he seemed entirely uninterested.” “Indeed! It took him four months to reach out.”
Urban later explained that he was in a “challenging period” of his life when he met the star of Big Little Lies, hence his delay in contacting her. Eventually, Urban initiated contact, and the couple ultimately exchanged vows in June 2006.
Since then, they have welcomed two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, and have consistently championed each other's endeavors. (It should be noted that Kidman is also a mother to Isabella and Conner, children adopted during her previous marriage to ex-husband Tom Cruise.)
