Nicole Kidman Debuts New Bangs and Long Nails Post-Keith Urban Split
Nicole Kidman is making a stylish entrance into a completely fresh look, featuring "breakup bangs" and extended nail length, following her recent separation from spouse Keith Urban.
The 58-year-old Babygirl star debuted her understated hair makeover at the CHANEL SS26 Fashion Show on Monday, October 6, subsequent to her appointment as the luxury label's latest ambassador.
“What an evening @chanelofficial A new era for bangs has begun,” noted acclaimed hairstylist Adir Abergel in an Instagram Reel commemorating the significant event.
Her hair expert revealed that this cut was not merely a spontaneous decision before the show. “Our inspiration drew from the early 1970s — envision gentle texture, natural flow, and that quintessential French-girl effortless charm,” Abergel shared with People, detailing the muse for her elegant appearance.
Kidman's auburn locks were worn down and subtly disheveled, fashioned with a delicate texture and strands that gently framed her face, extending just above her gaze. Abergel disclosed his use of Virtue’s Unfrizz Cream for sleekness and definition, Virtue Healing Oil to impart extra luster, and Virtue Damage Reverse Serum to infuse her hair with renewed vitality and spring.
Her daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, accompanied her to celebrate the inaugural collection by new creative director Matthieu Blazy during Paris Fashion Week, an occasion for which Abergel mentioned they chose a “new hairstyle” and embraced a “relaxed” aesthetic. (Kidman’s niece, Lucia Hawley, was also present at the gathering.)
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Daughter Sunday Models on Runway Post-Separation
The acclaimed figure eschewed her customary short nails for the fashion event, choosing instead an elongated, oval-shaped manicure. Nail artist Thuy Nguyen informed Allure that a subdued, creamy beige hue was selected, complementing the relaxed yet stylish atmosphere of Kidman’s ensemble for the night.
Kidman captivated onlookers dressed in a sharp white button-front shirt featuring a red Chanel emblem and broad-legged denim, accessorized with a deep red quilted shoulder bag.
Sunday was seen in a red V-neck knit camisole tucked into boyfriend-style jeans, while Faith showcased a black dress paired with an acid-wash denim jacket, and Lucia presented a shimmering black translucent gown.
This occasion represented Sunday and Faith’s initial public appearance alongside their mother since Us Weekly verified Kidman's divorce filing from Urban, 57, concluding their 19-year marriage on September 30.
The Lioness star attributed “irreconcilable differences” as the grounds for their separation, encompassing a custody arrangement, a financial support plan for their children, and a “parenting workshop directive” within her legal submission, which designated Kidman as the “primary custodial parent” of their offspring.
“Their daily routines maintained consistency throughout their union,” a source exclusively informed Us on October 1. “No novel or altered circumstances in that respect contributed to their estrangement.”
“Nicole has consistently managed to excel professionally while remaining a steadfast figure in her children’s upbringing,” the insider further stated. “She stands at the pinnacle of her profession, yet she is also a career-driven mother who continues to put her children first.”
Kidman and Urban seem to be adjusting to their freshly unattached status, as both have been observed sans their wedding bands following their separation.
The country music performer — who carries four tattoos commemorating his now-ended relationship with Kidman — was photographed without his wedding ring as he disembarked a private aircraft in Hershey, Pennsylvania, prior to his October 2 performance.
