Offset Faces $232,000 Lawsuit After Florida Club Attack Allegations
The two individuals who claim to have been attacked by Offset, the estranged spouse of Cardi B, at a Florida gentlemen's club are now pursuing the $232,000 they are owed by him, as exclusively reported by Us Weekly.
On August 29, Leamsy Izquierdo and Humberto Crespo submitted legal papers in Georgia, Offset’s state of residence, to formalize the court ruling they received from a Miami tribunal. This action marks the initial phase in their efforts to recover the funds.
A legal claim was lodged by Izquierdo and Crespo against Offset (whose birth name is Kiari Cephus) in January 2021, stemming from an occurrence at BT’s On The River, also known as Booby Trap On The River. The pair stated they were present at the establishment on the same evening as Offset and his partner at the time, Cardi, aged 32.
Offset, who is 33, and Cardi were situated in the VIP section when effervescent wine from the general audience splashed onto her.
According to the lawsuit, the two accusers claimed that Offset unexpectedly “leapt from the raised platform in the VIP area to … physically harm” and “strike” them.

Within the formal complaint, the two individuals who claim to be victims asserted that Offset struck them on their face, head, and torso. They both state they needed medical care and have suffered lasting damage.
The individuals also reported experiencing psychological anguish due to the event. In October 2024, the presiding judge issued default judgments in favor of Izquierdo and Crespo because Offset neglected to answer the complaint, despite claims of proper service.
In April, Offset submitted legal papers asserting that he had not been correctly notified. He requested that the previously entered judgment be rescinded and that he be permitted to formally reply to the legal action.
Within his application, the musician alleged that the process server tried to deliver the summons at 4 a.m. within a bustling Miami nightclub. He stated the volume of the music was high and people were vocalizing. He further contended that the server never stated personal delivery, but instead placed the legal documents on the floor. Offset maintained that this method should not constitute valid service.
In a sworn statement dated January 31, 2025, Offset declared, “My spouse and I are safeguarded by a private security detail at every event, including the December 4, 2021, performance at [the nightclub]. Based on our security measures, members of the public are strictly prohibited from approaching either myself or my wife. I did not receive [the complaint]. I have no memory of ever meeting a process server.”
The judicial authority rejected the appeal due to irregularities in procedure. Offset submitted fresh documentation on August 15, seeking to reactivate his plea. A court session is scheduled for February 2026.

Beyond the ongoing legal troubles, Cardi, who initiated divorce proceedings against Offset in July 2024 following seven years of matrimony, recently commented on her former partner during her conversation with Gayle King.
"I am utterly weary of individuals continually linking me to someone who is no longer part of my life, as I initiated divorce proceedings a year prior. That fact ought to be unmistakable. I do not engage with that situation, I do not involve myself with it, nor do I maintain any communication with it," Cardi stated.
She further remarked, “I simply wish he possessed improved character. However, it’s simply the reality of the situation. Strive to be a better individual for your offspring."
Cardi and Offset are parents to three offspring: Kulture Kiari Cephus, aged 7, Wave Set Cephus, aged 4, and Blossom Belle, who is 11 months old.
