Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli "Not Caught Off Guard" by Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's Separation
Olivia Jade Giannulli and her sister Bella Giannulli are reportedly “quite disheartened” by the recent separation of their parents, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli — however, they “were not caught off guard,” an insider exclusively shared with Us Weekly.
“Observing their parents’ interactions over the past year, they recognized this outcome was inevitable,” the source revealed. “It came as no surprise to anyone within the immediate family.”
Us verified on October 2 that Loughlin, 61, and Mossimo, 62, have concluded their marriage after nearly 28 years.
While the news might have startled some fans, the source informed Us that the couple had been “frequently at odds, and their individual lifestyles had diverged significantly.”

The Full House actress and her husband “drifted apart, with Mossimo moving on swiftly,” the insider disclosed, further noting that Loughlin and the acclaimed fashion designer “hadn't truly functioned as a cohesive unit for a considerable period.”
For their daughters, “this transition feels more like a recalibration than a disruption,” the source elucidated. “Everyone is still finding their footing, but it has been a generally smooth shift.”
After exchanging vows in November 1997, Loughlin and Mossimo welcomed Isabella “Bella” in September 1998. A year later, their family grew with the arrival of Olivia Jade in September 1999. (Mossimo is also a father to son Gianni, 34, from his previous marriage to Chris Giannulli.)
Despite the sadness surrounding their parents’ split, the source assured Us that Olivia Jade, 26, and Bella, 27, maintain a “very close bond with Lori and have been steadfastly supporting her.”

“The girls share similar passions, so they enjoy spending time together whenever possible,” the insider recounted, adding that Olivia Jade is “presently embracing a bicoastal existence and has somewhat distanced herself” from the immediate situation.
The social media personality is currently “devoting her energy to her career and future endeavors, believing New York City is her necessary base for now,” the source appended. (Olivia Jade divides her time between the metropolis and California, where her family resides.)
Us Weekly has made attempts to reach out to representatives for Loughlin, Mossimo, and Olivia Jade for comment.
Before Loughlin and Mossimo’s separation, the couple faced intense public scrutiny for their alleged involvement in the 2019 college admissions scandal.
The pair initially pleaded not guilty in April 2019 to charges of fraud and money laundering conspiracy, following accusations of paying $500,000 to secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California and fabricating documents that asserted their participation in the crew team.
During the height of the scandal, a source informed Us in September 2019 that Bella was “extremely worried” that Loughlin and Mossimo were “on the brink of divorce.”

Nevertheless, the couple remained unified both before and after changing their plea in May 2020. At that time, Loughlin and Mossimo pleaded guilty to charges of wire and mail fraud, which resulted in a five-month prison term for Mossimo and two years of supervised release. He was also mandated to complete 250 hours of community service upon his release in April 2021.
Loughlin, for her part, served two months for her alleged role in the incident and was released in December 2020. She also received a sentence of two years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. Additionally, the couple was ordered to pay $400,000 in fines.
Earlier this year, Loughlin and Mossimo listed their Hidden Hills residence in California for sale, prompting some observers to speculate about potential marital discord.
“They are now living separately,” Loughlin’s representative confirmed to Us in a statement on October 2, validating their separation. “There are currently no legal proceedings in progress.”
Shortly after the news of their split became public, stylist Hannah Harrison was romantically linked to Mossimo. She exclusively clarified to Us on October 3 that her relationship with Mossimo is strictly platonic, following their sighting together in Beverly Hills earlier that week.
“I feel the timing was unfortunate. I visited the [G/FORE Supply] store unaware that his separation had been announced,” Harrison stated to Us. “I was there to meet him.”
She further explained that the two were meeting to select clothing for Mossimo’s brand and traveled to and from the location separately. “We were not together [and] we are not romantically involved. We are simply good friends. He was just meeting me at the store,” Harrison reiterated.
Loughlin, meanwhile, garnered attention when photographs surfaced of her dining with actor James Tupper at The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood on October 1.
Loughlin’s representative, however, clarified to Us that “Lori and James have collaborated professionally and share a long-standing friendship,” having most recently co-starred in Great American Family&rsquos A Christmas Blessing.
