Olivia Munn recently met with a woman battling breast cancer, who found inspiration in Munn's personal journey.

The 45-year-old Munn has openly shared her experience with breast cancer since announcing her diagnosis via an Instagram post on March 13, 2024. Part of her caption read, "My hope in sharing this is that it might offer comfort, motivation, and solidarity to others navigating similar paths."

The mother of two, managing a career, explained in a segment aired on the show that at 35, following the birth of her second child, a desire "to be present for my children for many years" and a family history of breast cancer motivated her to book a mammogram and attend the High Risk Breast Clinic as advised by her physician.

Del Barrio confessed that she initially postponed her doctor's recommendations due to other commitments, but upon encountering Munn's narrative, "it brought me back to my priorities," leading her to schedule an appointment the very next day.

Following a risk evaluation and an MRI scan, physicians informed Del Barrio that they had discovered "two questionable growths," she stated. Medical professionals detected the condition at an early stage, and Del Barrio proceeded with surgery and chemotherapy. Her experience was documented in an article, which subsequently prompted Munn to contact her by email.

"I got the most unbelievable email from Olivia Munn, which I initially mistook for spam," Del Barrio recounted in the video. "It was incredibly thoughtful and comforting, and she simply stated, 'I want you to know that there are many women, like you and me, who will stand by you. They will surround you with this feeling of warmth and compassion.'"

Del Barrio conveyed in the video her profound desire to express gratitude to Munn, whose account motivated her to book the crucial medical appointment.

Bush Hager, aged 43, then revealed that Del Barrio had traveled from Chicago to appear on the show and surprise Munn, and the two shared a heartfelt embrace. Del Barrio mentioned she was two months into her endocrine treatment. Munn then shared an uplifting remark from Kate Middleton.

"It was wonderful to hear her articulate it, as I couldn't find the words myself," Munn commented. "I've discussed breast cancer extensively. The initial phase is challenging, but many overlook the difficulty of the subsequent stage. I genuinely struggled to express it, but then I recently heard her mention that 'Oh, it's difficult, but this other phase is truly arduous.' The period following surgeries and similar procedures.
