Actor Orlando Bloom recently discussed his experience at the high-profile summer wedding of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez.
In an interview with London’s The Times, released on Friday, September 5, the 48-year-old Bloom described the three-day matrimonial celebrations in Venice, Italy, back in June as "wild." During the much-talked-about event, Bloom mingled with a host of celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Kris Jenner and the Kardashians, Tom Brady, Sydney Sweeney, and Eva Longoria.
The film star noted his existing connection with Bezos, given that Amazon was the production company behind his streaming series, Carnival Row, and his film, Deep Cover.
Regarding Bezos, he commented, “In such a prominent role, individuals often attract various opinions, but I prefer to judge people based on direct interaction.” He added, “The Jeff Bezos I’ve come to know is exceptionally courteous, composed, insightful, and enjoyable company.”

A further connection between Bloom and Bezos exists through Bloom’s ex-fiancée, Katy Perry, who joined Sánchez on Bezos’s Blue Origin space mission in April.
When questioned about his willingness to participate in a Blue Origin flight himself, Bloom chuckled, telling the British publication, “I’m not so sure about that.”
Us Weekly had the exclusive scoop that Bloom was among the distinguished attendees at Bezos and Sánchez’s pajama-themed, post-nuptial celebration held on an islet near Venice. The evening's entertainment featured DJ Cassidy accompanied by a live orchestra, followed by a headline performance by Usher.
Between musical acts, partygoers reclined on plush velvet seating and lounge chairs, adhering to the pajama dress code, and enjoyed an opulent Italian buffet offering an array of pastas and cannolis. An insider informed Us that Bloom remained on the dance floor for "several hours" throughout the event.
“He was completely immersed in the celebratory atmosphere,” an informant remembered.
Perry did not attend the wedding weekend; however, Sánchez had messaged Perry on Instagram before the event, expressing that she would “miss” her presence at the celebrations.
The Venetian ceremony took place just two days after Us Weekly announced on June 25 that Perry and Bloom had called off their engagement following almost a decade together. (Bloom proposed to Perry in 2019, and their daughter, Daisy, was born in August 2020.)
