Palm Reading Prophecy Haunts Fans After Big Brother Star's Death
A video of Big Brother’s Mickey Lee revisiting a peculiar palm reading has resurfaced in the days following her passing.
In the clip from Big Brother season 27, Lee recounted being told by houseguest Ava Pearl during a palm reading that her “line of life” on her palm appeared “relatively short.”
“I questioned, ‘Could this mean I’ll die?’ She responded, ‘Wait. Perhaps that’s not the correct line,’” Lee said, while Ashley Hollis added, “For Mickey, she stated, ‘Your life line is short.’ Mickey then asked, ‘Does that suggest I’ll pass away prematurely?’ She replied, ‘Um, let me examine Ashley’s [hand].’”
For Hollis’ reading, she was informed she had a “lengthy life line” and would possess the “same amount of money” — prompting Hollis to wonder if it would be “endless.”

At the conclusion of the clip, the pair began to laugh as they remembered Pearl admitting she hadn’t actually understood the distinction between the life line and the fate line.
“Ash and Mickey discuss Ava’s palm reading during their Head of Household sleepover #BB27,” the caption for the clip shared in July read, which has since been reposted by users.
“Goodness… them discussing Ava saying Mickey’s palm had a short lifeline is so unsettling to watch now #bb27,” one user wrote via X.
Lee’s family shared on December 22 that she was in “critical but stable condition” and surrounded by “medical professionals and cherished loved ones” in the ICU. Four days later, news emerged that Lee had died after being hospitalized due to multiple cardiac arrests as she battled complications from the flu. She was 35.

“With profound sadness, the family of Mickey Lee announces her passing on Christmas in the early evening,” her family wrote in a statement released via social media on Friday, December 26.
“Mickey captivated audiences across the nation through her appearance on Big Brother, where her authenticity, strength, and spirit left a lasting impression on fans and fellow cast members alike,” the statement continued. “She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the lives of so many and for the genuine connections she forged both on and off screen.”
In the comments section on Instagram, the official Big Brother account expressed their condolences and paid tribute to Lee.
“Mickey, you were such a source of light and joy, and the BB interns are so honored to have met such a captivating and beautiful person like you,” the comment read. “And we are so grateful to have watched, clipped, and posted about you this year. Truly a devastating loss. You will be missed by all of us and will always be in our hearts. Sending love to your family and those closest to you.”
Hollis, for her part, mourned Lee in an emotional Instagram post alongside a carousel of photos from Big Brother.
“Shock, disbelief, a seemingly healthy, vibrant 35 year old passing is something you don’t imagine will ever happen,” Hollis wrote on Saturday, December 27. “I will share more thoughts later, but right now I don’t have the words. Mickey was a bright light in this world, please keep her family in your thoughts during this time. Christmas will never be the same for them. Forever love, Mickey Lee.
