Caldera’s passing occurred two years subsequent to her commencing the documentation of her life as a mother to two children on social platforms. Starting in May 2023, Caldera gathered over 100,000 TikTok followers, and her candidness regarding her cancer struggle garnered heightened interest online.

During September 2024, Caldera disclosed on Instagram that she had been “recently diagnosed” with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia and “promptly” commenced her fight to conquer the disease. As per the Mayo Clinic, Acute Lymphoid Leukemia represents a swiftly advancing form of cancer affecting the blood and bone marrow, leading to the creation of underdeveloped or impaired blood cells.
She appealed to her online audience “and any compassionate individuals” to contribute to her GoFundMe campaign to assist with her healthcare expenses.
“I am requesting your support in this battle, which we are destined to win,” Caldera penned then. “Each small contribution, every offering will significantly impact my family’s ability to handle necessities and concentrate on what truly matters: my recuperation to return home healthy soon.”
Throughout the subsequent year, Caldera chronicled her journey with leukemia, encompassing periods of hospitalization and joyous occasions shared with her sons — who were 8 and 3 when she passed away — interspersed throughout.
