Patrick Schwarzenegger's Floral Finesse Steals the Show at Lakeside Nuptials with Abby Champion
When it came to orchestrating his nuptials with his new spouse, Abby Champion, Patrick Schwarzenegger proved to be a very involved partner.
“Surprisingly, Patrick is the one who tends to immerse himself in the floral arrangements and intricate specifics,” Champion, 28, shared with Vogue in an article published Saturday, September 13, detailing the couple’s recent marriage. “He contributed significantly, which I found truly delightful.”
On September 6, Schwarzenegger, 31, and Champion exchanged vows during a understated ceremony held by the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho.
“Given my slight fear of bees, I wished to steer clear of anything overly intricate,” Champion informed the publication, mentioning that she and Schwarzenegger opted for white roses and hydrangeas for their floral decor. “The outcome was flawless.”

She added, “I’m still astonished that it’s concluded. The entire experience felt like a fleeting dream, [and] I am incredibly eager to embark on this new phase of life alongside Patrick.”
Beyond the enchanting decorations, Champion and Schwarzenegger’s wedding attire also garnered significant attention. The White Lotus actor chose a blue Haider Ackermann for Tom Ford suit, while Champion graced the event in a bespoke bridal creation by Danielle Frankel. Her column-style dress boasted a high neckline, a striking deep-V back, and a silk overskirt adorned with a hand-painted interior.
“As apparel and style are integral to my career, I was certain I wanted to collaborate with an individual with whom I felt entirely at ease, someone with whom I could freely discuss my ideas and perspectives,” Champion, a professional model, further explained to Vogue. “The instant I encountered Danielle, I recognized she was the ideal choice.”
Frankel, 37, shared a similar sentiment regarding her partnership with Champion.

“What was truly remarkable about collaborating with Abby is her profound grasp of garment fit, construction, and broader fashion principles pertinent to her wedding,” the acclaimed bridal designer effused to Vogue. “The dress developed organically throughout the successive fittings — a genuine creative journey, akin to a developmental phase rather than a direct path from initial sketch to completion, which is the appropriate methodology for crafting a custom gown. By the conclusion of our project, we had established a familial bond, especially as Abby’s sister Baskin and her nephew also attended the sessions.”
Patrick, who is the elder son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and his former spouse Maria Shriver, began his relationship with Champion in 2016. Their engagement followed seven years later, in December 2023.
Under a year following his proposal, Patrick hinted to Us Weekly that he and Champion were deliberately unhurried in arranging their momentous occasion.
“We haven’t even commenced planning,” he disclosed to Us in an exclusive interview in April 2024. “We’re moving at a leisurely pace! I’m currently engaged with work, so I’ll be traveling for a while.”
