Porsha Williams Scores Major Victory as Ex Simon Guobadia's Appeal is Denied
Porsha Williams is marking a significant win following her ex-husband Simon Guobadia's unsuccessful appeal in their divorce proceedings, as exclusively confirmed by Us Weekly.
Williams, aged 44, conveyed a cryptic message, “It’s over,” on her social media on Tuesday, September 9. The television personality further posted a video of herself getting onto a private plane, accompanied by the word "Free."
Us has verified that her posts alluded to the rejection of Guobadia’s attempt to reverse the divorce ruling, which had granted the star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta ongoing financial support and a share of their Georgia residence.
Us acquired legal documents indicating that the Georgia State Court of Appeals issued a directive several hours prior to the social media exchange between Williams and Guobadia. The court declined Guobadia's request for an optional appeal.
As Us had earlier revealed, Guobadia, 61, expressed dissatisfaction with the divorce decree issued by the court on June 10, and he reacted to Williams’ recent online activity by stating, “Here we go again with Mrs 265. Still has learned absolutely nothing. #itsovermyass”
The judge ruled in Williams’ favor, affirming the enforceability of the prenuptial agreement signed by the couple before their marriage. Guobadia had contended that the agreement was invalid because of purported falsehoods Williams presented during their discussions.

“The Court determined that [Williams] has been a reality TV personality for an extended period, a fact well-known to the Husband when the Prenuptial Agreement was being negotiated, and [Guobadia] proceeded to marry Wife despite this awareness,” the divorce decree stated.

The prenuptial agreement permitted Williams to reside in the $7 million estate she cohabited with Guobadia while they were together. As Us initially disclosed, Guobadia was sent back to his native Nigeria in June due to immigration complications.
Guobadia was furthermore mandated to provide Williams with $40,000 monthly in alimony for a duration of 14 months. The Bravo personality also received half of the property's equity, a 2021 Rolls Royce, and several other vehicles. Williams' former spouse is additionally responsible for $224,000 in legal expenses she incurred during the divorce proceedings.
During the concluding hearing, Guobadia informed the court that his business earnings had plummeted significantly following his detention by ICE.
He claimed that the value of his company, Simcol, which once stood at $296 million, had now become worthless.
The judge found the assertion unconvincing, observing that “the disappearance of nearly $297 million in business value completely within a few months, with no means of recourse or recuperation, challenges belief.”
