Prince Harry Denies Archie Eton Enrollment Amid U.K. Return Speculation
Contrary to a recent claim, Prince Harry has no intention of enrolling his son, Prince Archie, in a British educational institution.
“Prince Harry has neither registered his son for Eton nor has any future plans to,” a representative for Team Sussex verified to the Daily Mail on Monday, September 22.
This refutation follows royal commentator Tom Sykes' assertion that Harry had enrolled his and Meghan Markle’s six-year-old son, Archie, at his former school, Eton College.
Harry recently spoke about educational facilities in the U.K. during a conversation with British vocalist Joss Stone at the WellChild Awards earlier in the month.
“He remarked on the excellent quality of the schools here and the vital role community plays for young ones,” Stone, 38, shared with Hello! Magazine.
A report suggests Prince Harry hasn't abandoned the possibility of reuniting his family in the U.K.
The artist further noted that “it was pleasant” to have this interaction with Harry, considering she and her spouse Cody DaLuz recently returned to reside in the U.K.
“This is precisely why we felt compelled to return,” Stone added. “So our children could be raised amidst relatives, friends, and a deep sense of connection, and crucially, in a secure setting."
Stone also mused about the possibility of Harry — who relocated to the United States with his wife Meghan, 43, in 2020 — eventually returning to his native land.
“He also inquired about our re-acclimation and showed sincere interest in our relocation back,” Stone further stated. “He remains very kind and unpretentious, as always. Perhaps Harry might move back as well. That would be lovely.”
Previously this year, Harry conveyed the challenges of returning Archie and his daughter Princess Lilibet to his homeland without adequate protection. (Harry’s plea for state-funded security in the U.K. was denied in May.)
Meghan Markle shared an infrequent photograph of Archie, 6, during ongoing family tensions.
“I cannot envision a scenario where I would bring my spouse and children back to the U.K. presently,” he informed the BBC. “I cherish my nation, always have, regardless of the actions of some individuals within it.”
Nevertheless, Harry’s recent unexpected meeting with his father, King Charles III, might have altered his perspective on travel. The pair shared a private tea on September 10, marking their initial in-person encounter in almost two years.
Harry has since discussed his future intentions, among them his aspiration to cultivate a bond with his father.
“My attention truly needs to be on my father,” he stated to The Guardian in an interview released on September 15, adding that he wishes to bring his children to the U.K. soon. “This past week has certainly helped bridge that gap.”
