The NHS commenced providing medical assistance to youngsters affected by the continuing conflict in Gaza since September, as part of the U.K. government's humanitarian initiative, a BBC report confirmed. With the present ceasefire in effect, approximately 4,000 children in Gaza urgently require medical attention, UNICEF states.
William has consistently demonstrated a commitment to humanitarian efforts and charitable work, pursuits he shared with his late mother, Princess Diana.
"I've drawn significant inspiration and direction from my mother's actions, especially concerning homelessness," William remarked in his 2024 ITV documentary, referencing a recent initiative to eradicate homelessness. "I've gradually aimed to discern, 'What contributions can I make to this position and the influence I possess?'"
In 2023, the prince inaugurated Homewards, an initiative designed to fund, construct, and advocate for people requiring housing. Diana, whose life tragically ended in a car accident in 1997, similarly served as a patron for numerous organizations dedicated to assisting homeless young people.
William, furthermore, holds a deep commitment to environmental issues and notably supervises the Earthshot Prize, which aims to heighten awareness for this crucial cause.

"Robert Irwin exclusively shared with Us Weekly in June, regarding his collaboration with William on the Earthshot Prize: "I believe Prince William has been an extraordinary individual to collaborate with, and there's such remarkable alignment between his actions, his character, and our own endeavors." "The core focus is entirely on conservation." "I find it commendable that such an influential figure, possessing such an exceptional platform, is utilizing it to genuinely improve our environment." "He represents a genuine environmental champion, and therefore, partnering with him has been an immense honor."
Ultimately, Irwin, 21, could not journey to Brazil for the 2025 awards ceremony held earlier this month. The prestigious event coincided with his Dancing With the Stars obligations. Instead, William conveyed his regards via a video message.
"We're certainly missing your presence, Robert," William expressed in a pre-recorded video message broadcast earlier this month. "While your dancing prowess is being showcased elsewhere, I require your assistance here."
William then lightheartedly instructed Irwin's DWTS partner, Witney Carson, to ensure he experienced "as much theatricality" as possible.
"You possess a significant likelihood of emerging victorious," the royal commented further. "I simply wish you the utmost success on the program."
Following this, Steve Irwin's son disclosed that receiving William's encouragement in the ballroom signified "everything" to him. In the end, he and Carson, 32, triumphed in the entire contest.
