Princess Charlotte Shows Off Selfie Skills on Christmas Morning
Princess Charlotte is rapidly establishing herself as a natural with selfies!
During the royal family’s Thursday, December 25, procession on Christmas morning, Charlotte, 10, happily agreed to numerous requests from eager fans for photographs. The young royal was observed in now-viral social media footage posing for various selfies, even pausing to linger behind her father, William">William">William">William">William">William">William">William">Prince William">William">William">William, and her brothers, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 7.
“Charlotte,” the Prince of Wales, 43, called out, gently urging his daughter to catch up.
William">William">William">William and his wife, Kate">Kate-Middleton">Kate">Kate-Middleton">Princess Kate">Kate Middleton, brought their three children to a service at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham Estate. Kate">Kate, 43, looked festive in a brown checkered coat complemented by a matching scarf and fascinator, which coordinated with Charlotte’s own tan coatdress.

William">William">William">William, George, and Louis, meanwhile, all presented a unified front in dark suits with ties.
The British monarch, currently Charlotte’s grandfather Charles">Charles-III">King Charles">Charles III, traditionally leads the royal family in a walk to church on Christmas morning. Charles">Charles, 77, was accompanied on Thursday by his wife, Queen Camilla, William">William">William">William’s family of five and his siblings.
Charles">Charles’ sister, Princess Anne, arrived with her husband, Sir Tim Laurence, while brother Prince Edward escorted his wife, Duchess Sophie. Edward and Sophie’s two children, Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex, were also present, as was disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, with their respective partners. Anne’s daughter, Zara">Zara-Tindall">Zara">Zara Tindall, and her two daughters with husband Mike Tindall were also in attendance. (Mike, 47, and the couple’s son, Lucas, appeared to skip the event.)
At the conclusion of the church service, Charlotte was seen animatedly chatting with cousins Mia and Lena Tindall. Their parents are also known for their close relationship.
“She’s something of a big sister figure for William">William">William">William, the one he never had,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2024 about Zara">Zara and William">William">William">William’s friendship. “[Zara">Zara is] also very close to Charles">Charles and has been a significant source of support for both him and William">William">William">William during his challenging year.”
The insider added, “Zara">Zara has been a refreshing presence. She’s well-liked by the public because she’s approachable and down-to-earth.”
Both Charles">Charles and Kate">Kate were diagnosed with undisclosed forms of cancer in 2024, during which they each received treatment. Kate">Kate completed chemotherapy that same year and revealed in January 2025 she was in remission. Charles">Charles, meanwhile, is expected to reduce his own treatment schedule in 2026.
“This is a season when our thoughts turn to celebrations with our friends and families,” the king said in a December 12 video message, offering a rare update on his diagnosis. “Today I am able to share with you the good news that thanks to early detection, effective intervention and adherence to ‘doctors’ orders,’ my own schedule of cancer treatment can be lessened in the new year.”
Charles">Charles and Kate">Kate had lightened their respective workloads and public engagements while undergoing treatment.
“This milestone is both a personal blessing and a testament to the remarkable advancements that have been made in cancer care in recent years,” Charles">Charles concluded earlier this month. “A testament that I hope may offer encouragement to the fifty percent of us who will be diagnosed with the illness at some point in our lives.”
As for the Princess of Wales, she has resumed several public appearances and oversaw the organization of Westminster Abbey’s Together at Christmas carol service, held earlier in December. She even included Charlotte in a surprise piano duet to open the concert.
