Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's Everlasting Royal Romance
Having spent over ten years side-by-side, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank continue to share an enduring affection.
Following a seven-year courtship that included a period of long-distance, Brooksbank popped the question while on an excursion to Nicaragua in January 2018.
“The lake was breathtaking. The illumination was unlike anything I had witnessed before,” Eugenie recounted in a conversation shared on the royal family’s YouTube channel. “I remember saying, ‘This is an amazing moment,’ right before he proposed, which truly caught me off guard despite our seven years together. I was absolutely ecstatic.”
A few months after Brooksbank presented her with a subtle pink engagement ring, the couple’s regal wedding took place in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, England.
Three years on, the royal pair revealed in September 2020 that they were anticipating their first child. Their son, August Philip Hawke, bearing the name of Eugenie’s departed grandfather Prince Philip, was born in February 2021. Eugenie and Brooksbank then welcomed their second son, Ernest George Ronnie, thereby completing their family in July 2023.
