Pussycat Dolls Reunion Tour Dispute Between Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Antin Settled

Pussycat Dolls Reunion Tour Dispute Between Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Antin Settled

The long-running legal dispute between pop superstar Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls visionary Robin Antin, stemming from a cancelled reunion tour, has at last been resolved, an exclusive scoop from Us Weekly reveals.

Court documents filed on Tuesday, October 28, show that Scherzinger, age 47, communicated to the judiciary that both Antin's original lawsuit (Antin is 64) and Scherzinger's subsequent countersuit against Antin are now formally withdrawn.

This development follows several months after David Blau, representing Antin, attempted to cease his legal representation of her.

As initially reported by Us, Blau had petitioned the court to be excused from his role as Antin's counsel, citing "irreconcilable differences" that prevented him from being able to "effectively represent" her interests.

Prior to the court's decision on Blau's petition, both Scherzinger and Antin jointly informed the judicial body that a "confidential settlement" had been achieved to conclude their dispute.

The performer and Antin had previously secured a preliminary agreement back in May, but indicated they required more time to prepare the necessary documents and iron out specific conditions.

Several months later, in July, Antin's legal counsel communicated to the court that the involved parties had failed to finalize the agreement.

"The involved parties, along with their legal teams and delegates, are persistently working towards a resolution in this case, having dedicated significant hours to negotiating terms and various written accords to settle their disagreement," Antin's attorney stated to the court then. He further explained that, owing to the parties' "professional obligations" and the "complex framework and stipulations of the settlement," an extension was required. Antin's lawyer requested the attendance of all parties at a subsequent hearing. Scherzinger dismissed this demand, asserting her unavailability due to her starring role in the Broadway production of Sunset Boulevard.

A court session had been scheduled for the current month, during which the judge was expected to establish a trial date, unless the litigants notified him of a prior resolution.

As Us earlier disclosed, the judicial conflict between the one-time colleagues began in 2021 when Antin initiated legal action against Scherzinger concerning a prospective comeback tour.

Scherzinger held the position of lead vocalist for The Pussycat Dolls, a female musical ensemble active from 2003 to 2010. Scherzinger departed the collective in 2009.

Within her legal complaint, Antin alleged that Scherzinger had consented to participate in a reunion tour. She claimed the vocalist agreed to receive a 49 percent share. Antin asserted that she invested considerable effort in orchestrating the endeavor.

Antin contended that the tour itinerary had been established but subsequently required rescheduling. She further alleged that Scherzinger declined to perform the revised dates unless her contractual terms were re-evaluated. The lawsuit asserted that Scherzinger insisted on 75 percent of the earnings and "full creative autonomy," which Antin characterized as "extortionist behavior."

In her submitted documents, Antin stated that Live Nation supplied her with a $600,000 prepayment for the tour. She claimed the entertainment corporation requested repayment of this advance after the reunion effort disintegrated.

Scherzinger initiated a cross-complaint against Antin, seeking $1.1 million in compensation for damages incurred.

The artist asserted that Antin was responsible for violating "her responsibilities and commitments" toward her.

She contended that Antin "harmed [Pussycat Dolls'] reputation, squandered the finances allocated for the projected [Pussycat Dolls'] reunion tour, thereby undermining [Pussycat Dolls'] capacity to conduct business through self-serving actions, mismanagement, and deceit."

Scherzinger's legal representative alleged that "[Antin] provided false information to Live Nation to entice them into paying her a $600,000 advance, which she accepted, despite never having disclosed to [Scherzinger] how those funds were utilized."

Furthermore, Scherzinger stated she personally expended funds — amounting to $100,000 — to cover costs for the reunion tour, yet she never received any upfront payment.

Scherzinger claimed she suffered financial detriment by forfeiting other professional engagements in order to dedicate herself to the Pussycat Dolls venture.

This latest settlement definitively concludes the protracted legal confrontation.
