Queen Elizabeth Knew of Prince Andrew's Controversial Private Activities Royal Historian Claims
Queen Elizabeth II was allegedly aware of her son Andrew Mountbatten Windsor’s controversial private activities.
“He facilitated the entry of sex workers into Buckingham Palace for many years,” royal historian and author Andrew Lownie asserted during a Thursday, November 6, appearance on NewsNation. “This was a regular occurrence. Staff members raised concerns with their superiors, but no measures were taken.”
Security personnel were reportedly instructed to “maintain silence” if they reported issues — or face demotion.
“The Queen certainly knew [about Andrew’s inclinations]. She received information,” Lownie claimed. “Yet, he was her favorite child, and he escaped consequences for everything. They concealed it — until now.”
An expert claims Queen Elizabeth II would never have stripped Andrew of his title.
Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, stated he has been receiving “an increasing flow of details daily” from individuals close to Andrew, following the official revocation of his title.
“They are no longer afraid to speak or to disclose to the world what truly transpired, now that Andrew has been divested of his authority,” Lownie added. “Now that the queen no longer protects him.”
Us Weekly has sought a comment from Buckingham Palace.
Lownie’s most recent allegations emerge after he provided further information about Andrew in a separate interview.
“In 2001, at 41, he was experiencing a midlife crisis, and he essentially began pursuing numerous women,” Lownie claimed on the “Deep Dive” podcast late last month. “He utilized his position as trade envoy, funded by taxpayers, as a pretext for these journeys, but he always included two weeks of ‘personal time.’ Thus, we paid for his vacations, and then he engaged in other pursuits.”
During one visit to Thailand, Andrew reportedly had “40 sex workers brought to his hotel” over a “four-day” period. Lownie alleged that he was “supported” by the royals who “overlooked” his activities.
Lownie’s continuous allegations appear weeks after King Charles III made the decision to remove Andrew’s prince title and evict him from Royal Lodge.
Prince Andrew’s Path of Struggles Leading to the Loss of His Royal Title
“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” a statement from Buckingham Palace to Us Weekly confirmed. “His lease on Royal Lodge has, until now, provided him with legal grounds to continue his residency.”
The statement further noted, “Formal notification has now been served to relinquish the lease, and he will relocate to alternative private accommodation. These punitive measures are deemed necessary, despite the fact that he continues to deny the accusations against him.”
Andrew first gained notoriety for his association with the late convicted billionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in 2019 when the late Virginia Giuffre accused him of sexual assault. Giuffre alleged they had a sexual encounter in 2001 when she was underage. She subsequently sued Andrew for sexual abuse, and they reached an out-of-court settlement in 2022.
Giuffre died by suicide at age 41 this past April. Months after her death, Giuffre’s memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was published and included more claims against Andrew. He has consistently denied all allegations against him.
