The initial meeting between country superstar Reba McEntire and actor Rex Linn occurred three decades prior to the commencement of their romantic relationship.
McEntire encountered Linn during the production of the 1991 film The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw, yet their courtship didn't begin until January 2020.
“Over the years, we maintained contact, and given our mutual acquaintances, our January dinner felt like old friends reuniting,” she clarified during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in November 2020. “Subsequently, we began exchanging texts and phone calls, deepening our connection during the quarantine period.”
The star of Reba publicly debuted her relationship with Linn on the red carpet in autumn 2020. Their clandestine engagement took place in December 2024, with the announcement made publicly at the Emmys in September 2025.
