Remembering the Digital Stars Lost in 2025
Digital platforms are paying tribute to a number of social media personalities who passed away throughout 2025.
April 1 marked the passing of nursing content creator Hailey Okula at 33 years old, shortly after welcoming her first child. Her husband, Matthew Okula, disclosed that his wife succumbed to an amniotic fluid embolism, but not before having a brief moment with their newborn.
In May, the Chandler, Arizona, Police Department verified to Us Weekly that social media personality Emilie Kiser’s three-year-old son, Trigg Kiser, passed away subsequent to being discovered unresponsive in the family's backyard swimming pool.
July 23 saw the passing of Rodeo Queen personality Camila Trevisol at 22, following her fight with a unique type of bone cancer. Filipino TikTok sensation Emman Atienza also tragically passed away in October at 19. The subsequent month, the demise of travel content creator Anunay Sood was shared by his “family and friends.”
The internet public also grieved for
Austrian beauty personality Stefanie Pieper, whose body was discovered in November. Her former partner was later apprehended in relation to the incident.
