Remembering the Influencers We Lost in 2025

The digital world is paying tribute to the memories of several social media personalities who passed away in 2025.

In April, a nursing influencer, Hailey Okula, died at the age of 33 following the birth of her first child. Her husband, Matthew Okula, verified that she succumbed to an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE). Dr. Precious Barnes, DO, a family medicine physician with a focus on women’s health and fertility, shared exclusively with Us Weekly that AFE is frequently “unforeseeable” and “remarkably uncommon.”

The subsequent month, the Chandler, Arizona, Police Department confirmed to Us that content creator Emilie Kiser’s 3-year-old son, Trigg Kiser, died after he was discovered unconscious in the family’s backyard swimming pool. While Emilie paused her social media activity briefly after the tragedy, she addressed Trigg’s death publicly in August.

“We feel his absence every moment of every day, and moving forward often seems overwhelming,” she stated, among other things, at the time. “I never imagined we would confront grief in this manner or the anguish of losing him so unexpectedly.”

The online community also expressed sorrow for Spanish influencer Jorge García-Dihinx and Nigerian influencer Anda “LazyWrita” Damisa, both of whom died in December.
