RHOC Stars Unite in Support of Meghan King Amid Custody Battle
Both current and former stars of The Real Housewives of Orange County are publicly showing solidarity with Meghan King during her ongoing custody dispute.
Following Us Weekly's confirmation that King no longer has custody of her three kids with former spouse Jim Edmonds, a decision made after a Child Protective Services inquiry, numerous Bravo personalities voiced their desire for greater privacy regarding the case's specifics.
“This wasn't something she featured on the series,” Gina Kirschenheiter shared with Us Weekly during a charity event for The Innocence Center alongside Emily Simpson and Shannon Beador on Sunday, November 23. “These details are being extracted from official legal papers, and I believe this truly underscores a more significant problem: no one should have access to such documents that reveal children's lives in this manner.”
King showcased her life with Edmonds on The Real Housewives of Orange County from seasons 10 through 12. Upon declaring her exit from the Bravo reality program in January 2018, King conveyed appreciation for the new friendships she formed via the show, such as with Tamra Judge.
Past 'Real Housewives of Orange County' Personalities: Their Current Status?
Us has been informed that a court session is slated for early December to further address custody arrangements involving King and Edmonds. (King has yet to make a public statement regarding the circumstances.)
Continue below to discover the comments from Real Housewives of Orange County cast members concerning the matter:
Tamra Judge
Upon encountering an Instagram update detailing the alteration in King’s custody status, Judge extended her backing to her ex-castmate.
“Sending thoughts and well wishes,” she penned in the comments section of a news post. “You are a truly wonderful mother.”
Gina Kirschenheiter and Shannon Beador
“It’s truly disheartening and regrettable whenever any individual's children become subjects in the media,” Kirschenheiter informed Us at a charity event for The Innocence Center. “I am firmly convinced that we are unaware of the circumstances within that home, and no one should be remarking on what transpires there. She's no longer even part of the series. She clearly has much to contend with and manage. I genuinely extend my best wishes to them and their offspring.”
Beador responded, “I wholeheartedly concur with that sentiment.”
Emily Simpson
During season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Simpson courageously discussed her son’s ARFID diagnosis. As per the Bravo personality, both current and former audience members ought not to form hasty conclusions regarding a parent's experiences with their child, whether those experiences are featured on the program or not.
“I'm navigating many challenges with [my son] Luke, which have been ongoing for half a year, and I would intensely dislike anyone passing judgment on our situation,” Simpson conveyed to Us at a charity function for The Innocence Center. “I am unfamiliar with the specifics. I am unaware of the actual details of this occurrence, so I prefer not to theorize or reach a conclusion.”

Kelly Dodd
In a TikTok video uploaded on November 19, Dodd commended King, calling her an “exemplary mother.”
“My sole wish is that she regains her children,” Dodd expressed. “Everyone, please offer prayers for Meghan and her loved ones. Her sons and daughter require their mother. They need their maternal figure, and the current circumstances are truly awful.”
Although the erstwhile Real Housewives of Orange County personality admitted to having “numerous disagreements” with King during their time filming side-by-side, one aspect consistently held true.
“She adores those little ones,” Dodd asserted. “She cherishes those children. And I am certain, beyond doubt, that she is a competent mother.”
