RHOC's Gina Kirschenheiter's Partner and Ex to Undergo Psychological Evaluation in Bitter Custody Battle
An exclusive report from Us Weekly reveals that Travis Mullen, partner of The Real Housewives of Orange County's Gina Kirschenheiter, and his former spouse, Meghan Mullen, are slated to undergo a psychological assessment in their ongoing custody dispute.
Court records submitted by the former couple on August 28 were acquired by Us. Travis, aged 40, and Meghan have consented to engage a Newport Beach, California, physician to carry out a "comprehensive child custody assessment concerning" their offspring.
This assessment aims to "support the court in deciding upon a custody and visitation schedule that prioritizes the welfare of the minor children."
Both Travis and Meghan are expected to cooperate with the evaluator, ensuring they "expeditiously finish all required documentation, interviews, psychological assessments, and in-home visits as appropriately requested by the professional."
They must each provide the doctor with access to pertinent records and grant permission for discussions with educators, legal representatives, relatives, and therapists. The expenses for the evaluator will be equally divided between Travis and Meghan.
Upon concluding his work, the doctor will compile a report for submission to the court.
Travis and Meghan exchanged vows on July 9, 2010, and separated in September 2016. They are parents to three children: Presley, born in 2011; Bennett, born in 2014; and Joseph, born in 2016.
In March 2017, Travis initiated divorce proceedings, with Meghan filing her response a few days subsequent. Several months thereafter, the court granted joint custody to both individuals.

According to judicial papers, Travis obtained a temporary restraining order against Megan following his allegations of assault. She refuted these claims. The former couple came to an understanding to withdraw the restraining order. This arrangement mandated Meghan's participation in drug testing.
On March 31, Travis petitioned the court for sole legal and physical custody, asserting that Meghan had failed to appear for several drug tests and had obstructed his designated custody periods.
In a sworn statement, Travis declared, “Her non-compliance with a court-mandated drug screening reinforces my belief that [Meghan] is using illicit substances, potentially severely hindering her capacity to care for our children.”
Meghan rejected every allegation of misconduct made by Travis.
She informed the court, “Travis has put forth many unfounded accusations that I am consuming illegal drugs and lost consciousness in the school pickup line. I unequivocally dispute these claims. Such declarations are inaccurate and lack any verifiable proof.”
She alleged he pursued sole custody “as a means to discipline and dominate me, rather than to safeguard the children.”
“Travis is leveraging the family court apparatus as an instrument of manipulative coercion and vengeance,” she stated.
Meghan also addressed Gina in her statement, alleging her children conveyed that the Bravo personality had made disparaging remarks about her. A close associate of Gina vehemently refuted these assertions, labeling them “baseless.”
The court declined Travis’ urgent petition but set a hearing on the issue for a subsequent date this year.

A May court submission by Travis indicated no decree regarding spousal maintenance had been issued. He disputed Meghan's need for financial assistance, asserting, “From the point of separation, [Meghan] has sustained the lifestyle enjoyed during the marriage without any spousal support from [Travis].”
During August, Gina discussed the persistent conflict involving Travis and his former partner with Us. She confirmed the problems were continuing.
The reality television personality expressed that the situation has not improved. “It absolutely has not. No, it hasn't. It is genuinely regrettable, and I observe the repercussions. I see the negative impact on us, on the children. I cannot comprehend why this is occurring. I never will,” Gina conveyed to Us.
She further stated, “I am, without question, a strong advocate for co-parenting and ensuring all things beneficial for the children, but one cannot resolve every issue or manage every circumstance… And it's disheartening. We took a family holiday only a few weeks prior, yet not all of our children were present. That is deeply saddening, and I do not grasp the reasons, nor will I ever.”
In response to a query about whether she believes a time will come for all of them to co-parent, she informed Us, “As a unit? I don't believe so. I truly don't. Simply because I have received no sign whatsoever that his former partner desires such an arrangement. Therefore, if she is disinclined, we are powerless to do anything beyond what we currently are, which is refraining from initiating any such collaboration.”
She proceeded, “Unless that situation alters, then no. My intention is always to act in the Children's paramount interest. Consequently, at all times, I will never be the source of difficulty. And if anything there changes, that would be wonderful.”
“However, I don't foresee it happening. Why do you suppose that is the case? I genuinely don't know. I once endeavored to comprehend it and contemplate its origins or the underlying motives. And truthfully, I am no longer prepared to expend further effort attempting to decipher it. That is not my responsibility, nor is it my affliction to endure,” the RHOC celebrity elaborated.
