In October 2025, Wendy Osefo, a prominent figure from The Real Housewives of Potomac, along with her spouse, Eddie Osefo, faced apprehension and formal charging for criminal fraud.

Osefos' Arrest Date?

On October 9, 2025, Eddie and Wendy were processed in Westminster, Maryland, facing numerous allegations. Their release from detention occurred on October 10, 2025, following the payment of a $50,000 bond by each.

The Osefos' residence was subjected to a search and seizure warrant on the very day they were taken into custody.

On October 10, 2025, Wendy was formally charged by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office with seven counts of insurance deception, eight counts of conspiring in insurance deception, and a single count of providing inaccurate information to law enforcement.

Grounds for the Osefos' Arrest?

Law enforcement ascertained that the Osefos “engaged the ADT alarm system” prior to their departure for vacation, yet “no internal movement was registered within the dwelling” throughout their absence.

The report indicated, “The Ring camera recorded activity, including package drop-offs, which the Osefos observed remotely.”

Subsequently, Eddie provided two testimonies during an insurance inquiry, wherein he asserted that none of the purported missing articles had been recovered.

Police observed, “He was questioned about additional insurance but neglected to inform Homesite and Jewelers that he had also filed a claim with Travelers Insurance.”

On April 8, 2024, Eddie's first claim with Travelers insurance stated that both he and Wendy wore their anniversary rings during the purported theft. Forty-eight hours later, Eddie contacted the insurer to amend his claim, noting that Wendy’s gold diamond anniversary ring was, in fact, gone.
