Selena Gomez’s mom, Mandy Teefey, gave a heartfelt address at her daughter’s marriage to Benny Blanco, then dismissed rumors that she had been disregarded during the nuptials.
An insider revealed solely to Us Weekly that both Teefey, 49, and Blanco’s mother presented “emotional speeches” at the celebratory gathering. Gomez, 33, and Blanco, 37, exchanged vows on Saturday, September 27, in Santa Barbara, California, surrounded by their close family and friends.
“Such an ideal festivity for the most incredible pair I know! The night was utterly exquisite and faultless! Completely immaculate,” Teefey, who is Selena’s mother with former partner Ricardo Gomez, posted on Instagram on Sunday, September 28. “Sending all my affection to my lovely daughter @selenagomez and to the most wonderful son-in-law @itsbennyblanco!!!”
She further commented: “It was a dream realized, and seeing my father accompany her down the aisle was incredibly touching!!!”

Following claims that Teefey was displeased about not escorting Selena down the aisle, the manager responded on social media, stating, “This is absurd!”
Selena had previously shared her intentions to include her grandfather in her wedding.
“I intend to share a unique dance with my grandpa,” the performer mentioned on the “Table Manners With Jessie and Lennie Ware” podcast in April. “He never had the occasion to walk my mother down the aisle because — credit to my mom — she chose to elope in Vegas and was like, ‘Yay.’ While their decision was endearing, I wished to grant my grandfather that specific honor.”
