Gomez additionally shared a video where she conversed with her fellow actor about the program.
“Our roles are that of a mother and daughter,” Gomez stated in an accompanying interview published on Disney Channel’s YouTube. “I truly appreciate this delightful young Janice,” she added with amusement.
“The experience was deeply moving, particularly for both of us following the script reading,” Brown, 15, remarked. “We were completely overcome with emotion,” Gomez interjected, gesturing to indicate tears flowing, and further noted, “This has genuinely been an extraordinary journey. It’s incredibly gratifying to witness us handing over the legacy to a fresh cohort.”
Working on the continuation of the popular series, which ran from 2007 to 2012, offered a sense of nostalgia and likely represented a complete journey for the celebrity — who recently marked a significant personal achievement with her marriage to her new husband, Benny Blanco, on September 27.
Gomez and Blanco, 37, pledged their commitment to each other in a picturesque ceremony held in Santa Barbara.
Attending the couple's wedding were several famous guests, notably Gomez's past colleagues from Wizards of Waverly Place, such as Jennifer Stone, David DeLuise, and Maria Canals-Barrera.
A source revealed exclusively to Us Weekly that her close friend Taylor Swift was also present and delivered a heartfelt address. “She elaborated on how, through the years, she witnessed Selena in distress, discussing past relationships, Selena experiencing heartbreak, and expressed her joy that Selena has Benny now,” the informant disclosed, adding that Swift, 35, “expressed that it is every best friend's wish for their closest companion to discover someone akin to Benny, and she is immensely pleased for her.”

On her special day, Gomez donned three bespoke Ralph Lauren dresses and accessorized with Tiffany & Co. dangle earrings featuring 12 carats of diamonds, elevating her ensemble for the significant event.
The initial dress, visible in her inaugural wedding announcement, was a “double-faced” silk satin creation, characterized by “an intricate macrame collar,” according to the fashion house. Subsequently, she transitioned into a timeless halterneck design with a flowing bodice and “300 individually shaped and affixed lace blossoms” for the main event.
Her third and concluding outfit was a more abbreviated style — ideally suited for dancing — featuring “panels crafted from cotton, silk, and linen voiles sewn together to form a light, refined shape, complemented by a tulle petticoat that provided fullness and flow.”
Blanco, too, presented a sophisticated appearance in a custom garment from the Ralph Lauren Purple Label, complete with a silk satin bow tie and velvet slip-on shoes.
