Sources confirm to Us Weekly that Shaun White and Nina Dobrev had gradually drifted apart prior to the public announcement of their separation.
“This was a clean break, without any infidelity,” an insider shared exclusively with Us regarding Dobrev, 36, and White, 39. “They maintained complete loyalty throughout their time together. Ultimately, like anyone else, they simply evolved in different directions and concluded that a platonic friendship was a better path than marriage.”
The initial report of Dobrev and White's five-year relationship ending came from People on September 11. Their engagement had been revealed in October 2024.
A second source indicated that the couple had begun making wedding arrangements before their decision to part ways.
