Stafford Couple Reveals Ringless Moments and Lost Luxury Bracelets

Kelly and Matthew Stafford each shared their personal justifications for occasionally choosing not to wear their marriage bands.
The topic arose during Kelly's "The Morning After" podcast on Thursday, September 18, as she questioned Matthew, the Los Angeles Rams' quarterback, regarding a developing custom among married NFL athletes.
"You've observed that male players are now sporting silicone bands during matches," Kelly, 36, commented. "Why haven't you adopted this?"
Following a short, uncomfortable pause, Kelly chuckled and stated, "I'm joking, completely joking. I'm putting you in a difficult position. I appreciate that you don't feel obligated, as I'm hardly one to criticize."

"Occasionally, my ring remains upstairs," Kelly elaborated. "We have children. It's quite challenging to keep track of all our belongings."
Having met at the University of Georgia, Kelly and Matthew, 37, tied the knot in April 2015 and are parents to four girls: twin sisters Sawyer and Chandler, 8, Hunter, 7, and Tyler, 5.
Throughout their ten-year marital journey, Matthew has encountered only a single incident involving his wedding band.
"I'll commend you; you've only misplaced that particular ring one time," Kelly remarked.
Matthew recounted that he had "lost track" of the ring inside one of Kelly's handbags, which was subsequently discovered "in a small jewelry pouch," as stated by Kelly.
"That's quite remarkable," Kelly informed him.
Kelly also complimented herself, asserting that she had "not yet lost a single item of jewelry."
"That's inaccurate," Matthew countered. The quarterback pointed out his wife's loss of "the trio of Cartier bracelets I purchased for you."
Matthew speculated that the bracelets remained at "the Detroit shopping center," where the pair resided during Matthew's tenure with the Detroit Lions from 2009 to 2020.
Kelly recalled that she "was having the clasps adjusted, and somehow never retrieved them."
Matthew mentioned the bracelets featured distinct "fasteners" – which ultimately posed the issue.
"The fasteners, that's precisely why I was having them repaired," Kelly clarified. "The tiny screws for the fasteners fractured, causing them to repeatedly detach!"
Kelly further remarked, "Someone possesses them. They bear our daughters' names etched on the interior because they were my push gifts. Oh, I adore a push gift."
Matthew retorted, "Apparently not enough to ensure its safekeeping."
Kelly Stafford Addresses Speculation Regarding Husband Matthew Stafford's Demise
Earlier in the year, Kelly spoke openly about the extreme difficulty of the initial period of matrimony.
"Anyone suggesting otherwise is outright deceitful," Kelly stated on her podcast on April 3.
Before getting married, Kelly mentioned, "You consistently prioritize yourself."
"Then abruptly, you begin to prioritize someone else," she elaborated. "Children become a factor. It simply grows increasingly challenging as more obstacles come your way."
