Stars are Just Like Us When They Meet Their Heroes
Famous personalities, such as Jake Gyllenhaal and others, share a common experience with ordinary people when encountering their heroes — or fellow renowned figures.
Gyllenhaal remembered feeling awestruck upon his introduction to Pitt during the filming of The Good Girl during the nascent years of the new millennium.
“I was collaborating with Jennifer Aniston, then married to him, and the script featured numerous quite suggestive sequences. I recall extending my hand for a handshake, only to inadvertently strike the door,” Gyllenhaal revealed to the publication. “[Brad] responded, with great assurance and graciousness, ‘Don't worry, you've got another hand. It's fine.’ He was incredibly, incredibly, incredibly gracious towards me, and it genuinely turned out to be a delightful interaction. But, indeed, I was completely captivated.”
Meanwhile, Doctor Who's former star Jodie Whittaker found herself utterly overwhelmed upon encountering Jennifer Lopez during the production of their collaborative film, Office Romance.
“[She is] among the most stunning individuals I have ever laid eyes on,” Whittaker shared with The Times of London in September 2025. “I likely seemed utterly bewildered because for the initial five minutes I could only think, ‘How is this possible?’”
