Swift and Carpenter's Friendship Shines Over NYC Dinner and Grammy Buzz

Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter reinforced their close bond during a recent evening outing.

The 35-year-old artist behind The Life of a Showgirl and the 26-year-old voice of “Nonsense” were seen enjoying a meal in New York City on Friday, November 7.

Swift appeared taller than Carpenter, donning striking red Gucci women’s horsebit platform slingback pumps as they made their way to The Corner Store restaurant in SoHo.

The artist known for “Fate of Ophelia” paired her footwear with a Thom Browne RWB stripe-detail polo shirt and an accompanying Thom Browne asymmetric wool miniskirt.

Meanwhile, Carpenter stayed cozy in a camel trenchcoat, accessorizing with a black handbag and coordinating black heels to finish her ensemble.

Earlier on the same day, the 2026 Grammy nominations were unveiled, recognizing Carpenter in categories such as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Music Video, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance. (Swift was not eligible for consideration as The Life of a Showgirl was released outside the qualifying timeframe for the upcoming Grammys.)

Swift's social calendar has been packed this week. In addition to her Friday dinner with Carpenter, Swift was seen enjoying several date nights around the city with her fiancé, Travis Kelce.

This isn't the inaugural occasion Swift has been observed with celebrity companions at The Corner Store; she has previously frequented the venue with other high-profile friends.

Back in October 2024, Swift was photographed on a double date alongside Kelce and the acclaimed duo Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively.

The establishment's website specifies a “smart elegant” attire requirement. This American eatery's menu features sophisticated options like lobster and caviar rolls, filet mignon, steak frites, and daily oysters.

Swift and Carpenter have often joined forces musically in recent years; the alumna of Girl Meets World notably featured on the title song of Swift's newly launched 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

The artist behind “Espresso” also graced the stage for numerous segments, including those in Australia and South America, during Swift's extensive Eras tour, which concluded in December 2024 after beginning in March 2023.

During an August 2024 interview with Variety, Carpenter spoke enthusiastically about her strong bond with Swift and expressed significant admiration for Swift’s dedication to her craft.

Taylor Swift Displays Natural Curls During Dinner Outing With Sabrina Carpenter

“Honestly, Taylor is incredible! She handles everything with such resilience. Regardless of public opinion, every challenge I’ve witnessed her face, she’s managed gracefully,” Carpenter shared with the publication. “The rumors suggesting I need to ‘ask for her permission’ — that&squo;s not true. She's truly one of my closest friends, and we frequently have dinner or text to check in, just like any best friends would.”

Carpenter further mentioned her confidence that Swift supports her in maneuvering through the complexities of the music industry.

“It’s incredibly valuable for me to gain insight into this entire journey from her and from the circle of artists I consider myself close to — to receive guidance on matters not easily found online,” she continued. “We consistently share our [music] with each other, and whenever I'm tempted to think, ‘Perhaps I'll post something about this on Twitter,’ I invariably decide, ‘Maybe I’ll compose a song instead.’”
