Tarek El Moussa Breaks Silence on Vegas Battery Incident Charges Dropped

Tarek El Moussa has publicly addressed his Las Vegas battery incident for the first time, a month after the charges were dropped.

“It truly was a regrettable situation,” the 44-year-old Tarek shared with Entertainment Tonight in comments made public on Tuesday, September 16. “I found myself in an extremely awkward position where I needed to protect my father.”

He further stated, “Fortunately, all is well, and I believe the matter is now fully resolved and behind us.”

His spouse, Heather Rae El Moussa, interjected, affirming that the situation has been “resolved” since the occurrence.

“Everyone is fine,” Tarek summarized. “I faced no legal repercussions whatsoever, and all is well.”

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department verified to Us Weekly back in June that officers attended a report of a physical dispute at The Palazzo within The Venetian Resort. Tarek purportedly “rushed” towards an individual and “pushed him” during the confrontation, based on the police documentation acquired by Us then. They “each assumed a combative posture,” the report noted, when Tarek allegedly “hit the man with his knee, causing him to collapse.”

Tarek has consistently asserted that his actions were in defense of his father, leading to the confrontation. The star of The Flip Off stated that the man “struck his dad on the back with his hand,” at which point Tarek intervened.

Following the incident, Tarek was issued a citation for battery.

Us verified last month that a judge dropped the misdemeanor battery accusation on August 5. Tarek underwent “impulse control therapy” and maintained a clean record, according to legal papers seen by Us.

Both Tarek and Heather had refrained from commenting on the event until their interview on Tuesday.
