Taylor Swift has clarified recent speculation suggesting she referenced her engagement to Travis Kelce while delivering a toast at Selena Gomez‘s marriage ceremony.

On the broadcast of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, October 6, Swift, aged 35, addressed allegations that she quipped about Gomez tying the knot before her during the wedding celebration.

“Absolutely not. While I did give a speech, I specifically chose to avoid any mention of my own engagement,” clarified Swift, who publicly confirmed her engagement to Kelce, 36, back in August. “No one desires a speaker to say, ‘Listen, I understand this is your special day, but … ‘ My thought was, ‘Keep that detail out.'”
