The Valley's Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei Clash Over Divorce Day Memories
The Valley personalities Jesse Lally and Michelle Saniei hold differing recollections regarding the day their divorce was finalized.
“Honestly, for me, the moment I learned about Michelle and Aaron [Nosler], my emotional detachment was complete,” Jesse, 43, revealed in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Friday, November 15, discussing Michelle’s partner at the time. “Therefore, physically signing the divorce papers held little significance for me, though I can assure you, Michelle's response was quite profound.”
Jesse indicated that despite the divorce decree signing being uneventful for him, it was an “intense” experience for Michelle, 37.
“I believe the judge's final approval was a very impactful and emotional event for her,” he speculated. “My own emotional processing had concluded earlier, when I became aware of her having a new boyfriend and similar developments. I suspect for her, it represented the ultimate release of a heavy burden. For me, that sense of relief arrived the day she vacated our home.”
Michelle from The Valley concedes that navigating the divorce process with Jesse was challenging.
Jesse hinted that the details of their divorce agreement are set to “unfold in a very compelling manner” during the third season of The Valley.
Michelle, whose marriage to Jesse lasted from 2018 until 2023, recounts the moment differently.
“I question the appropriateness of his statement,” Michelle expressed to Us on Saturday, November 15, addressing Jesse’s remarks concerning her perceived emotional reaction. “He contacted me, asking, ‘Have you seen it? It's finalized. We're officially divorced.’ On that particular day, I felt genuine sadness, and during our phone discussion, he admitted to feeling quite sad himself.”
Michelle also disclosed that she and Jesse engaged in a 45-minute “confidential discussion” that occurred off-camera, away from Bravo’s production.
“We shared a mutual sense of sadness, yet relief, that it had concluded, allowing us both to progress,” she elaborated from the BravoCon red carpet. “It represented nearly a decade of my life, we have a child together, and I will forever hold affection for him, but I am incredibly content now.”
While Michelle and Jesse concentrated on coparenting their 5-year-old daughter, Isabella, and concurrently working to finalize their divorce during the filming of The Valley, Michelle began a relationship with Aaron. Nonetheless, they ended their relationship in July.
“He served as the comfort I required during that period. I sought emotional backing as I navigated my mother’s circumstances and my interactions with Jesse,” Michelle reminisced about her initial connection with Aaron. “Consequently, at that point, I felt content, but presently, since our separation, I find significantly greater happiness in being solitary and unattached.”
Regarding Jesse, he conveyed to Us that he “was not astonished” by the failure of Michelle and Aaron’s relationship.
Michelle from The Valley expressed that filming alongside her ex-husband Jesse was 'exceptionally difficult'.
“I felt a degree of anger and profound sadness for Isabella,” Jesse recounted. “Michelle had telephoned me to inform me of the breakup, and that they planned to speak with Isabella, given that [the couple] had recently relocated to his residence. [Isabella] phoned me immediately after they told her, weeping uncontrollably and saying, ‘I want to go to Daddy’s house.’ So, Michelle brought her to me.”
He proceeded, “I brought her into the bedroom, while Michelle remained in the living room, and I explained to her, ‘This is how relationships sometimes unfold,’ and she was heartbroken. However, to his credit, he has facilitated Isabella’s ability to FaceTime and text him, and he ensured that I was comfortable with this arrangement. It remains challenging for her, and that is my primary concern.”
